ROME — There's nothing stopping Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin from serving well in the White House, according to the men who now hold the nation's highest offices.

"She's had executive experience, and that's what it takes to be a capable person in here in Washington, D.C., in the executive branch," President Bush said in an interview to be shown Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends."

"John McCain made an inspired pick," Bush added. The former two-term Texas governor came to Washington without experience in national office _ the path Palin is trying to follow.

Vice President Dick Cheney told reporters in Rome on Monday that he "loved" Palin's speech to the Republican National Convention. Cheney laughed when he recounted her line about the difference between hockey moms and pit bulls being a coat of lipstick.

"I thought her appearance at the convention was superb," Cheney said. He was asked whether he thought Palin could handle the No. 2 job under a president John McCain.

"Everybody brings a different set of experiences to the office and also a different kind of understanding with whoever the president is," Cheney said during remarks at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Italy Ronald P. Spogli.

"Each administration is different," he said. "And there's no reason why Sarah Palin can't be a successful vice president in a McCain administration. Such a White House, he said, "won't look exactly like the Bush administration or the first Bush administration, the Ford administration. It'll be relatively unique to this president and this time that they're in office."

Cheney had spoken with Palin before and met her once at a governors conference, a representative of the vice president said. After McCain named her as his running mate, he called to congratulate her.

LOL - we all know that Cheney is operating from beyond the grave. I'm not sure which circle in Dante's hell he is residing in either. An approval from Cheney is laughable.

You would expect Cheney to say that because he will be the man behind the curtain pulling Palin's chain. He will coax her just like he coaxed GWB. Nothing will change other than the lead puppet.

If people don't see that and continue to vote for the republican ticket, they will once again vote in the war mongers. I can't believe that people want war that badly. Why?

That is exactly what I have been saying about her all along. GOP knows she is ill equipt to run a country, and will be replacing her with one of thier own. DUH! Unless the dems win this thing, folks, its going to be a hell of a lot worse for Americans than it has already been. Think your rights are gone now? Wait until dante and Satan have full rein.

You don't say! Please tell me it isn't so. McCain=Bush, Palin=Cheney. Hmmmmmm, what's up with that? I though they were.....um, what's the word I'm looking for?...............Oh that's right, mavericks. That's it, that's the ticket mavericks.

Don't mavericks shoot things down? So I guess the "mavericks" in this campaign can't wait to start another war.

Amazing! Palin is "ready to be vice-president"--a heartbeat (literally in this case) from the presidency, but she isn't ready to face the press.
And some Americans believe she was the "best choice" that Republicans could make.
Her choice was the Republicans saying they could put up a rat, and Americans would still vote Republican. With the media in their pockets, they can and have gotten away with murder.
Be afraid, People. Be VERY afraid!

Why should we believe anything that Cheney says.

I believe him. If Cheney wants something, the rest of us should do everything in our power to ensure the opposite.

Yes, we were attacked on the republicans watch and have lost many lives on that watch also. Do we want to lose more or do we want a chance at peace?

How can honest Americans want a "dishonest" president? Can someone please explain that to me? I am dumbfounded.

In a sane world this endorsement would be the kiss of death. The only way I see Cheney and his puppetboy handing over power is to a cloned version of themselves. That's the one think mainstream media like Huffington Post refuse to consider the total seizure of the government by Cheney and Bush though National Security/Presidential Directive 51 that Bush signed over a year ago.

Directive 51 - area 51... Coincidence? I think I hear the black helicopters over head.

Mock me if you want to, but certain members of Congress's oversight committee for homeland security have tried and failed to get a copy of the complete document had have failed. That alone should provoke more media investigation of this most serious matter. You coinicedence niinies are always yelling consprocy, conspirocy failing to realize that conspirocies actually exist. Hitler would never come to power if not for a vast conspirocy, grow up people.
