Ed Koch Backs Obama Because Of "Scary" Palin

Former New York Mayor Ed Koch, who endorsed and worked for George W. Bush in 2004, is endorsing Obama today, NY1 first reported.

I asked Koch just now what prompted the move.

"The designation of Palin to be vice president," he said. "She's scary."

He said he was alarmed by the report that she'd triggered a conflict with the local librarian in Wasilla, Alaska by inquiring about the possibility of banning books.

She did want to know how to ban books from the liebrary and she did fire the librarian after she was told that was not permitted, and the city did work to get palin to rehire her! No, she didn't name books! Not because she didn't want to, because the librarian didn't let her go any further than asking HOW!

I agree Newsweek seems to be trying to minimize this but it still sounds like she was preparing the ground. Asking if it would matter if there was picketing sounds like she was anticipating some church community activities along those lines. why would you ask such questions otherwise?

The Rove machine has dealt in deception for so long, and the media has done little to discover the fraud. Remember Bush at the debates, wearing the audio transmission pack on his back? Of course, no one could prove that Bush was cheating the debates, but the real issue emerges as that of Bush/Rove/McCain being the campaign of more fraud on the public. We know now that Bush / Cheney defrauded the country on so many issues, with Rove's backing.

Today, Rove is behind the scenes of the McCain campaign. Is the child Trig Gov. Palin's? This question is a private family matter, but if it's true that this story is false, it's just one more example, like the debate audio transmitter, like WMD's, like Saddam-Al Qaida connection, that demonstrates the level of fraud in the Bush/Rove government and would be Rove/McCain government.

Call me crazy, but this is a pattern. A pattern that will lead to more needless war, more American soldiers' deaths, more deficit spending to enrich GOP contractors and more damage to the fabric of America.

Obama's campaign needs to reach out to Mayor Koch as he is well loved by the Jewish community in Florida and around the USA. McCain is going around the country screaming like a mad man. He is so sure that he can fool the people all of the time, that he may be delusional. We already know that his running mate is off her rocker. She just might start speaking in tongues during one of her scripted speeches or break out into one of her religious fits. That would really get her supporters riled up. Then again, at McCain's age, this whole thing just might be too much for his old heart to handle. What then? One big soap opera in the White House! We'll probably have to build a very large nursery for the baby making first family. We'll no doubt have to support the 'baby daddies' too. Need proof of UFOs? Take a good look at these critters.
