I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Obama hit the McCain campaign hard today over their attempts to claim the mantle of change.

[WATCH]

OBAMA: Let's just list this for a second. John McCain says he's about change, too. Except -- and so I guess his whole angle is, "Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We're really gonna shake things up in Washington." That's not change. That's just calling some -- the same thing, something different. But you know, you can -- you know, you can put lipstick on a pig; it's still a pig.

oh Snap! Buurrrrn! He better not backtrack and apologize. Barack's gotta stay fighting AND stay on message. And he needs to meet with James Carville.

Never liked Carville and that molasses accent of his, but you're right. Carville's an animal in the world of politics. Obama should hire him.

Why the h&ll can't I find a video that includes the remainder of his remarks... Obama: "You Can Wrap An Old Fish In A Piece Of Paper Called Change, It's Still Gonna Stink After Eight Years"

The "PIG" and "LIPSTICK" deal lets McBush/Palin off the issues hook for another day. Barack has a well reasoned answer to almost any question you can throw at him, and then teams of Repubs dig in and analyze every word for more ammunition to use against him. It sucks, but that's how they operate. Gimme' a sound bite! Gimme' somethng I can use!

It has been a cold, dark winter in America for the last 7 or 8 years, and sometimes I feel like Groundhog Day will never get here.

It is now time for sunrise in America again, for young people to have hope in the American Dream that our parents and grandparents struggled so hard to give us. I pray that for once, the average family in America, the regular guy will look at these burning issues, like jobs, and home ownership, and health care, and pensions, and veteran's benefits, and the GI Bill and vote their own interests and their kids and grandkids.

We do not own our own country anymore. The average family can not give more, sacrifice more, or pay more. They do not have it. Resources are exhausted. Credit maxed out. Homes in danger of being gone, and values dropping like a rock if you can keep it. Jobs? forget it. Can people vote for 4 more years of that, versus turning that all around, with a team that has a clear head, a pure heart, and a rational, reasonable plan?

Can anyone here produce some evidence that Barack Obama is the one that supported the bridge to nowhere? There is a poster here that makes that claim. I dont remember the exact number of the bill.
Does anyone have it, im sick and tired of this troll.

Mr. McCain:

Clearly, when Senator Obama talked about putting lipstick on a pig, he clearly meant that Sarah Palin is the lipstick.

Just as clearly, you're the pig wearing the lipstick, Mr. McCain.

I'm not trying to stir controversy with this, but I think the democrats need to understand just how crooked the republican party can be. I know someone who was at this convention first hand, and stated just how corrupt the Missouri gop state convention was.
If I were in Obama's camp I'd be very leery of vote counting there.

Of course, on http://www.fivethirtyeight.com Obama has always been up by a comfortable number.

Organize and spread the word.

As a born and bred Missourian, I totally resent that remark...and I totally agree with you. You're right, and I can tell you right now, Missouri is probably going to need a recount.

Mr. Obama, there's lipstick on your intellectual collar. You voted for the Bridge to Nowhere. So did your VP.

Oh come on. You're blaming pork barrel spending not on Palin, who tried to arm-twist the congress for more and more money, but on congressional members? Eventually they told Palin no. And Palin told alaskans that support from congress was not there, and that it was "clear" that they didn't want to give her any more money for the bridge. But she kept the money allocated for it, telling alaskans that we'll find another way to get it built. She has NO IDEA how to run a nation or balance a budget. She just knows how to make her state a welfare state on the backs of the rest of us. That won't work if she gets into office. Unless she plans on stealing the money from Social Security.

Blatant lie.
It was voted down in the House.
Never made it to the Senate.

ALL senators have voted for various pork, including McCain. It's a part of every major spending bill that needs to get passed, the only way to avoid it would be to vote no on EVERY spending bill.

Senators have no real choice, currently there's no "line item veto" at the senate level so they have to vote on hundreds or thousands of funding items at once, you can't pick and choose to vote yes on some but no on others.

All this nonsense about earmarks is just a red herring offered up by McCain. ALL politicians dip into the pork barrel for their constituents. In fact, hooray to earmarks in general. It seems to be the only way the voters get some of their money back. Why not talk about corporate and farm welfare? Seeing taxpayer money (American corps pay little or no taxes) go to wealthy entities is distressing. I don't want a tax cut as much as I'd like to see tax money go to social programs that will benefit our country in the long term: better public school education for the poor, health care, almost-free or affordable college education for all who can't afford the full cost, rehabilitation opportunities for ex-convicts, and more. Those are real issues. Take care of those things first, then let's talk about pork.

Why can't we have an ad that shows old McCain debating himself? He has flip flopped on so many issues, that my head is spinning. You don't vote 90% of the time with the WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY and suddenly become a agent of change! He is OLD AS A STINKING FISH.

Now we have "Her Moose Majesty" who is so inexperienced that they have to keep her under wraps because she doesn't know s**t ..from shinola, but boy can she deliver that line..about the bridge to nowhere" while keeping the money for Alaska that the lower 48 taxpayers paid for.

Here we go again! Sarah the WONDER DOG.... No one is allowed to ask her questions unless they show DEFERENCE TO HER MAJESTY. It would be funny if the selling of her wasn't apparently working.

Does anyone believe that ABC's Gibson got the gig interviewing her because he is a straight shooter. Not after his grilling of Obama that he did. We can expect him to get down on his knees and bow with DEFERENCE.

If 50% of this country votes for this "stinking pair with lipstick", you can count me out as a citizen. It's bad enough that this same number voted for Bush again, and now they want to continue this farce for 4 more years.

So, go ahead women and vote for this pig in a poke, WITH LIPSTICK

When the Senate had its chance to stop the Bridge to Nowhere and transfer the money to Katrina rebuilding, Messrs. Obama and Biden voted for the $223 million earmark, siding with the old boys' club in the Senate. And to date, they still have not publicly renounced their support for the infamous earmark.

Obama has lost all moral authority to criticize Palin on earmarks. He speaks with a forked tongue.

Here's a link to the Washington Post's votes database. The link itself will take you directly to Obama's record, but the voting record of any member of Congress may be reviewed.

Question: Why is the majority of media not calling Mcain/ Palin on all of these obvious lies & distortions? When you actually have Palin on record supporting the infamous bridge to nowhere
how can you not play it? I mean isn't that somethings that the American people have a RIGHT to know? This is a PUBLIC servant for heavens sake. Why are you taking part in HELPING to trump this fraudulent person up as some sort of change from the disastrous administration we have today?

EEEEENNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOUGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Ir is obvious that Obama called the program and policies that McCain is offering a Pig, and trying to pass this off as change is the lipstick.

Anyone who claims the Pig is anything else knows better and is being dishonest.

Now lets hope that Obama develops the backbone to call McCain a liar the next time he is caught telling a lie instead calling what McCain says "unfortunate," or something like that.
