I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Obama hit the McCain campaign hard today over their attempts to claim the mantle of change.

[WATCH]

OBAMA: Let's just list this for a second. John McCain says he's about change, too. Except -- and so I guess his whole angle is, "Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We're really gonna shake things up in Washington." That's not change. That's just calling some -- the same thing, something different. But you know, you can -- you know, you can put lipstick on a pig; it's still a pig.

I love republican fake outrage. so transparent.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:39 AM on 09/10/2008

The faux-outrage and hypocrisy in the GOP camp is disgusting.

How everyone doesn't see through it is beyond me, but then again I didn't attend 5 colleges in 6 years and graduate next to last in class. I have my diploma.

Then again I'm not running for president. Can we have someone smart in charge for a f*cking change?

EXACTLY why we need Obama! Lordy, how long's it been since an actual intellectual was in the white house?

Fake outrage? What is more fake than Obama's outrage at Palin after voting with his supremely intelligent advisor Biden for the Bridge to Nowhere. NYT forgot to mention it. Obama, too. lol!

She's lying about the bridge, he's not.

It's so simple, even some republicans can understand it.

They forgot to mention it because it is not true.
Not voted on by the senate.
Defeated in the house.
Sorry Troll.

Something else "they" forgot to mention is that she may have stopped the bridge to nowhere, but she kept the money!!

Did she perhaps use it to "buy" support and admiration from the people of Alaska by the $3,200 for every man, woman and child that will be hitting their bank accounts this coming Friday?

If my Repugnant Governor did that for every one in our State, I could learn to like him as well! (well, maybe hold my nose and pretend to like him, as long as the money kept coming!)

The issue is the LYING. LYING. LYING.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:23 AM on 09/10/2008

Whats with all the clever barbs from Obama, which even though they are true, do not really convey the truth? The Democrats and TeamObama need to start hitting McCain/Palin with the truth in the same way that McCain/Palin hit them with lies. We need some serious realness here. McCain was part of the Keating Five savings and loan disaster. He's a criminal. He's a liar. He's not a hero. He doesn't deserve the respect he is being given. How is he able to continue the POW storiest as he and the Republicans continue to disrespect military veterans. His record on helping POW's is dismal and offensive. He's a touchy, mean-spirited, unpatriotic, inhumane little man. His POW stories are grossly exaggerated. And Palin...Jesus....Liar, small-minded, petty and using religion to justify actions which are opposite the teachings of her saviour. Can we have an ad posing the hypothesis that McCain and Palin are traitors and anyone voting for them should be tried in court for conspiracy to destroy our nation?

Good Jdlaughead! Me either. That is why I'm voting for Obama.

I'm smart enough to know how to say out of a cult. I just need someone smart enough to know how to govern with me (a good middle class, tax paying citizen) in mind.

Lets face it, Governor Palin for vice president is nothing more or other than a stunt candidacy -- the GOP has nominated somebody who took six years and as many lower-echelon colleges to get a relatively easy four-year degree to help out a guy so intellectually minuscule that he graduated only five notches away from the bottom of his class at his four-star daddy's alma mater. Bush and Cheney have established mediocrity as a virtual political religion -- and McCain and Palin are attempting to continue that ill-conceived creed. Palin has already defined her idea of what a "hockey mom" is, and I believe it applies to her perfectly -- the thing is, a pit bull wearing lipstick is still nothing but a dog.

LIKE THEY SAY IN THE MOVIE CASABLANCA " I AM SURPRISED, SURPRISED THAT THERE IS GAMBLING IN THIS PLACE".

OFF COURSE THIS WAS DONE ON PURPOSE, THAT MEANS OBAMA GOT HIS MOJO BACK!!

OBAMA FINALLY GOT UNDER THEIR SKIN.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WATCHED OR READ PORKY PIG, REMEMBER PETUNIA EATING CHOCOLATES IN THE COUCH GETTING FATTER AND FATTER.

THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE SOME MUCH PORK FROM CONGRESS, YOU GET BLOATED AND DECADENT.

I JUST CAN SEE THIS EASILY AS A SNL, LENO OR LETTERMAN SKIT (USE YOUR IMAGINATION).

IN FACT AFTER LISTENING TO THE STUMP SPEECHES, IT LOOKS LIKE MRS. PALIN IT STARTING TO SOUND LIKE ONE OF THE CHARACTERS FROM THE MOVIE "THE STEPFORD WIVES".

AS A SERIOUS NOTE MY WIFE AND I ARE SCIENTIST AND WE ARE APPALLED AT MCSAME AND MRS PALIN'S VIEWS ON TEACHING CREATIONISM AT SCHOOL.

McCain and Palin started the dirt, now they have to take it (don't be whiners, to quote your economics guru Gramm)

Just waiting for Palin interviews when she will have to account for all the lies she has been telling.

ABC News/Charlie Gibson: "Mr. Obama, why did you vote for the Bridge to Nowhere and then criticize Sarah Palin for being 'for' the Bridge to Nowhere?"

Barack Obama: "Good question, Charlie. I should have voted 'present.' It was a clerical error."

Cool! I welcome your suggestion Jenzor! I smell something fishy about "WelcomeBackRegan" 's comment! "where there are 12, there's always a judas" mark my word that's a quote but I don't have to make a reference to who ever was the first person to make such a quote, as it has become an accustom comment (generally accepted) so my friend that is not plagiarism as he did not claim that was his quote! Just like you can say that "you can force a horse to the river but you cannot force it to drink the water" that is popular quote as well! It will be a shame if Americans can not learn from the last eight years that you need a change! How ironic that a presidential candidate who has been and represent %90 of what the incumbent government stands for is now the self acclaimed "maverick" trying to sell the story line of CHANGE to the American people! and beside him is a Woman (Sarah Palin) with a "DODGY" political history who is been protected from facing the press, acting as an unnecessary distraction on the campaign trail! America Wake up from your slumber! and stand up 4 the real CHANGE!!!!

She describes herself as a "hockey mom" and defines that as "a pit bull,"" albeit with "lipstick." Since cosmetics don't alter ones species, her own words define her as a dog, presumably female. There's a perfectly correct five letter noun for that and she ought to be grateful that our candidate is too much of a gentlemen to apply it to her.

such a great point.

McCain is far weaker nationally than GALLUP and RASMUSSEN are letting on.

Obama is surging in all of the battleground states. Every last one of them.

Which explains why McCain and Palin feel the need to lie again and again. All Obama is doing is pointing out the truth to folks who often seem to be blind to it.

Seems that there are far more McCain attack ads out there.

The Senate NEVER voted for the bill that contains that particular earmark.

The genius of good a politician is delivering a blow without losing one's credibility. With this 'pig' statement, Obama demonstrates there is indeed a moral ground on which this battle is being fought and somehow, someway it's going to be won by the person which best exposes his opponent's faults through humor and light-hearted observation.
It's far easier to trust someone that makes you laugh in the face of adversity than one that only adds to it.

Well done Mr Obama...

The epic failure is your trying to convince people that can access this information that you are telling the truth.
THE SENATE NEVER VOTED ON THIS BILL!
SO why would Obama and Biden vote with the House of Representatives?
I think there are rules against that.

McCain and Sarah Palin do not represent CHANGE - not even a little bit.

Sarah Palin, supports criminalizing a woman's right to choose an abortion, and opposes abortion even in cases of rape and incest - despite the fact that Alaska has the highest incidents of rape and incest in the country. THAT's not a major step forward for women...that is a major step back, especially if her radical view of abortion is instituted nationally.

She cut funding for teen mothers. She cut funding for WIC recipients. She used her line item veto to cut funding for seniors. And, like her mentors Bush and McCain, she also opposes EQUAL PAY FOR EQAUL WORK legislation which would empower working women. Right now, working women earn 77 cents for every dollar working men make. Doesn't Sarah care about working families? Is she that much of a celebrity govenor that she would spit in the faces of hard working Americans, and sit by while reproductive rights for women are undermined?

Obama's right: you put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig.

McCain / Palin - MORE OF THE SAME!
