Elisabeth Michelle

"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the show's token conservative and an ardent supporter of John McCain, appeared at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul last week and spoke at an event honoring Cindy McCain. Given that "The View" is a necessary destination for the candidates and their wives this year, Hasselbeck felt qualified to explain the difference between Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama, though she avoided singling Obama out by name:

"Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn't come with a list of topics that we weren't allowed to touch. Nope, that's because she has nothing to hide."

Thanks Elizabeth. The opinions of reality TV stars who have married football players are important! We can learn so much from you.

HAHA - WELL SAID!! In addition, this woman is so typical of republican women - ignorant and sinister. She's typical in another way too - she comports herself one way to the public, then behind closed doors the masquerade ends and you see her for the hypocrite that she is and other republicans like her are.

Lets put this in the right prospective,
Elisabeth is a known NEOCON by anyone who watches the View. She is known as a die hard McCain supporter also. I think it would have been stupid and dangerous for Michelle Obama to appear on camera with Elisabeth without the constrains.
And I believe Michelle could eat Elisabeth alive if it came to that.
I will bet that the reverse would apply if McCain were to be on Kieth Olbermann's show..

If you think what she said about Michelle was downright nasty, you should read her interview with Sean Hannity. I think, she thinks that she is "The View." She believes Babs, Whoopi, and Sherry can be reasoned with (come over to the darkside), but Joy is going to be harder sell. She believes the audience is with her now. Maybe we should makes some calls and send some snail mail to tptb at ABC to voice "a different view."

Elisabeth is such a GOP mouthpiece and mindless, too. I would be curious as to what was really on Michelle Obama's list. She should take a leave of absence from the show during these 2 months so that she can put all her energies for the McCain campaign. Why didn't she have something to say about Cindy McCain's $300,000 outfit for the convention. That is purely disgusting because she shows the country over and over again that she is in the "have" group vs. the "have not" group.

E.H is craving attention from Foxnews, maybe they should end her misery and add her to "Blonde, Perky pro McCain team"

She sure gets the same talking points they do!

Are all of you malibu barbie blondes, this dumb.

What's her resume' specialty? Saying things to fill in time that she didn't have the nerve to say in Michelle Obama's face.

We had girls like this in gym class. They usually came with a note from the doctor, not to take gym, cause they didn't want to sweat or mess up their hair.

What an HEIRHEAD!

What exactly has Elizabeth ever done, other than be pretty?
Survivor contestant and marrying a former NFL player makes her the pinnacle of wisdom and integrity?

Yes, I'm sure Cindy is quite willing to talk about how she had an adulterous affair with John McCain when he was still married to his first wife.

Cutting on Michelle Obama......WOW, do ALL republicans live permanently on the low road?

Frankly I am a little surprised that Elizabeth got so low. I don't necessarily agree with her Republicans view, I thought that she was a little brighter than most ..... I listen to her on the View because she is young and might just have something to say, because of her youth. Sadly she lowered herself into a category of just being pretty . Even the insult she made about Michelle was not that entertaining!! Elizabeth, I know that you have the ability to think and use your brain, turn it on as I have seen you do on the View on a few occasions......

Tell Elizabitch that Cindy has a lot to hide. It has not been addressed this political season, but oh did Bush bring it out. That's one of the best things he has done. Go Bush!!!!

I know some people mistakenly think Obama is a muslim simply because I believe in the muslim world if you are born a muslim, then you are a muslim. But relgion shouldn't have anything to do with anything. I find his association with Rev. Wright and his racist church much more offensive than if he was a Muslim. I don't understand his other associations with people who hate America. I also believe Michelle Obama does dislike white people. I think she was raised in a part of Chicago that does. I live in D.C. and there is an area that hates white people. It exist and it's something we should face up too along with the other racial prejudices out there.

Obama himself struggled with his mother's race and met Michelle, joined the racist "church" and I think believed by picking up the same Black Theology way of thinking thought that made him more of a black man. There is no doubt he believes in the teachings of Rev. Wright, you don't attend a church that controversial for 20 years if you don't agree with them. What is sad is he continued the hatred by bringing his children with him. This is no different then any other kind of "supremacy" or racial hatred. It has no place in today's America. Will being elected change his or Michelle's views or those who follow this kind of thinking? I doubt it.

Areas do not hate--certain people hate. When you make such generalizations, it takes away your credibility and exposes your ignorance.

Is it possible for you to see a situation outside of your narrow minded view? The black church has a long tradition of dealing with social issues--historically, it has been the only safe place for black people to do that.

Your statement, "if you are born a Muslim, you are a Muslim" makes no sense. Barack Obama's father was of the Muslim faith. Barack was not ever a Muslim. Educate yourself on cultures and customs different from your own--then you can speak intelligently on the subject.

I personally think you are projecting your racism on others.

pamela...mrs. obama was raised on the same side of chicago as i was, the south side. you are suggesting that everyone who lives there, black, white ,asian, hispanic, indian, arab, african, etc. hates whites....NO SUCH THING!!!!! she attended the same high school as my brother (on the west side), a PUBLIC school that was as diverse as the world we live in, i have attended Rev. Wright's church a few times before he retired and unless you have lived the african american experience, there is no way for you to understand the rev. or anyone like him. african americans don't hate all of anyone. however, we call it like we see it...racism is alive and thriving even in spite of the fantastic accomplishments of people like the obamas, oprah and any other african american who is livin large. it hasn't come without tremendous struggle and we don't and won't forget how we got there. if you were a part of those who helped, wonderful...we need more of you...if not...step aside! time for things to change!

I long for the day that Whoopi just reaches across the table and knocks this b!tch out! Her voice gives me the same effect of someone raking their nails down the side of a chalkboard.

Please friend, sit this election out, your hatred for the winning party brings your prejudice against women out into the open. For the whole Net to read.

I was disappointed that when McCain went on Whoopi had to use Slavery and the race card. I love Whoopi and don't understand why she came out with that comment. It hurt a lot of people and her integrity.

She had a completely valid point. If we we're to turn back the ruling of Roe v. Wade which was to prevent the violations of our constitutional rights further extended by the 14th Amendment, then what's to stop the revoking of other civil liberties given to us in the same amendment (the most notable being the abolishment of slavery). Its completely relevant, and if anything its good that there is someone who can bring up issues regard race because she is the only diversity amongst those hosts. Educate yourself Pamela.

This did not hurt Whoopi's integrity, the inquiry she made was appropriate.

The Constitution did not include slaves under the category of human being and many laws had to be amended to afford us the same access to freedom, opportunity as the rest of American enjoy. The right to Vote is one law that comes to mind....

Whoopi's question was valid and was on the mind of all African Americans looking at the View this morning. I SAY TO WHOOPI
RIGHT ON MY SISTER!!!!!!!

You did hear McSame say he wanted strict Constitutionalist, to interprit Roe vs Wade, right?

Well, if McSame is gonna let them tell me when I have to give birth, on this wartorn planet, living in poverty, then why wouldn't Whoopie question which parts of the Constitution, he was talking about.

Have you read it. That African Americans are 3/5 human beings?

If McCain is that nosey to put someone on my vagina, then of course, I'm concerned about myself and everyother African American citizen, that has ancestors from slavery.

Example: The answer to this question I pause to bring, that may give you some "idea" on what we think about in our homes.

Question: What race in America, has to renew their voting rights, every forty years?

Wake up America, I HOPE the God I serve, who has a Son of Olive Colored Skin, Wool like hair, isn't as choosey against you, as you have been to US.

Just a little explaination, we have no answer to our children on.

I love Whoopi, too, and I thought she was GREAT. I don't think she hurt a thing. Good for her. OTOH, I would love to shove my bra down EH's throat. That woman is horrid. Shut the @#$@ up, already.

Pamela1961
You obviously are not aware that we black folks STILL do not have it signed into law in our Constitution that we have the right to vote without the right to do so, not having to be approved every few years in Congress. THAT is what we black folks feel about strict interpretation of the Constitution.

I wonder if she got in trouble with her bosses for revealing that kind of private information about one of the guests. It doesn't reflect well on the show.
