Meghan McCain: My Dad Says "Lipstick On A Pig"

The Hill reports:

John McCain's daughter Meghan is not taking offense to Barack Obama's "lipstick on a pig" line like the rest of her father's campaign, pointing out Wednesday morning that GOP presidential nominee has been known to use the phrase.

"I've heard my dad say that, the term 'lipstick on a pig,'" McCain said during an appearance on Fox promoting her new children's book about her father.

Asked directly if she thought Obama was calling Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) a pig, McCain said, "I don't know. I hope not. I mean, I hope not, but I have no idea."

This "lipstick on a pig" phrase has been said by regular people and politicians for way too many years to count. McCain himself said in regards to Hillary's healthcare plan.

I am very much a Thinking Woman and find insulting that the republicans and McCain would rather turn this election into a culture war rather than debate the REAL ISSUES that plague this country.

A deep thinking women would not get her panties in a ruffle over this DISTRACTION, and start to hold her government officials accountable for the dire state of this country and DEMAND some solutions.
