Meghan McCain: My Dad Says "Lipstick On A Pig"

The Hill reports:

John McCain's daughter Meghan is not taking offense to Barack Obama's "lipstick on a pig" line like the rest of her father's campaign, pointing out Wednesday morning that GOP presidential nominee has been known to use the phrase.

"I've heard my dad say that, the term 'lipstick on a pig,'" McCain said during an appearance on Fox promoting her new children's book about her father.

Asked directly if she thought Obama was calling Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) a pig, McCain said, "I don't know. I hope not. I mean, I hope not, but I have no idea."

This girls is smart as smart as the lamp on my desk. She said that there are no other families out there that knows about war like her family. is she kidding me? Why do they think because John McCain was a POW for 5 yrs it makes him more a hero than anyone of those kids in Iraq right now fighting a senseless war? Mc's is the most hypocritical, backwards run campaign that I've seen in my lifetime. He can't even decide what his campaign slogan is; remember back in June he touted, "A leader you can believe in"? Now he's "Country First", but their platform is "Change". His wife disagrees with his running mate, his daughter is selling him out to his paid-for media outlet. They haven't addressed a single issue yet, but hired Karl to spearhead their campaign. I can so see them imploding after the debates. :)

Only if the debate moderaters deal with policy, and not bio. McCain isn't very articulate nor does he have a full grasp of issues outside of foreign policy; and part of what the republicans are doing is using the excitement over Palin to mask that they aren't saying anything.

My dad has been known to use that phrase. And I am very sure that Senator Obama didn't use that phrase in reference to Gov. Palin.
