So, here we are, on September 11th, workin' hard at NEVER FORGETTING. But how can we remember things that the Bush administration only invented yesterday? In this case, Dana Perino, in a single breath, explained away any extant concern that we need to run Osama bin Laden to ground:

While Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has admitted to being the "architect" of 9/11, bin Laden was not inconsequential; he approved and executed the attacks. KSM in fact, brought the idea to bin Laden, who according to the 9/11 Commission, "wanted to hit the White House, Pentagon and U.S. Capitol," not just the World Trade Center.

I want to curse so bad on this one but I will try to restrain and refrain.
People I watched the coverage from the moment it began on msnbc on that fateful day 9/11
we watched squawkbox at my job cause i was a stock trader at the time (pls do not beat me up about the station been a few years)
I saw as the 2nd plane hit and the host were saying that is a no fly zone how did they hit the towers, then BOOM, plane number two hit........We know how that ended.
Lord Bless our fallen Citizens keep them safe.
But what I vividly remember as well was that within it seems an 1 hour if not 30 minutes
Bin Laden's face was on the screen and we were told he was the leader behind this tragedy
We then invaded Iraq because Bush said the act was state sponsored.
yes they talked up WMD, but Americans only agreed becasue the President said this was the country that sponsored the attacks........(lies?)
Now to have the White House come out and say that in anyway shape or from it was not Bin laden.
who did this, after all the soldiers who died, al our tax dollars wasted, our roads falling, all the families abandoned by our government

Actually it most probably will. As the great Nazi propaganda chief said "if you tell a lie big enough and often enough it becomes the truth" (or words to that effect). Now we hear, by implication, that we had already won the war on terror and a year from now, if repeated enough, that will be a known fact. We have the Alaska governer, who apparantly lies as much as the great decider and is at least a secretive as Dickie setting records straight for us. Wasn't she on the same Iraq trip where Hillary was dodging bullets? If not she will be as soon as she starts stating it. Rewriting history via repeated untruths is exactly what politicians do. Why do you think the entire government has such low approval ratings? Does anyone actually think that this is going to change, no matter who gets elected? If not one of us voted in Novemebr there would still be a complete government either elected or appointed, but without votes to point to as their "mandate" by "we the people" (remember us) how would they explain to the rest of the world that they really represent us? On the other hand do they really care?
