I think McSame's pick of Barbie will backfire on him. I think there's more than a little jealousy and irritation between Cindy and Barbie -- and it's taking its toll on the marriage. There was, afterall, the revelation earlier in the year about McSame's affair with Vicki Iseman, and now this -- the obvious pushing aside of Cindy for Barbie, and all the hugs and kisses and love-struck gazes McSame throws Barbie's way whenever they're together. Yes, it's LOVE! -- junior high-style!

I wonder what the Vegas odds-makers are putting on how long it will be before McSame is forced to dump her?

Well, McCain is something like 8 inches shorter than Obama. It's actually surprising that he doesn't look a lot smaller in the pics. Not sure what tricks they are using, but in real life, McCain should just about come up to Obama;s shoulders.

For a minute there, I was taken back to what I believed as a child about the presidency. All of the security and the media interest and add to that the occasion for which they gathered, it made for a viewing moment of pride and gave me a real sense of the importance of the role.

What came to mind after was a pig with lipstick, William Ayers as concern, Reverend Wright as talking point, choosing a woman to be vice president not because you are for women"s causes but because you are for self over country, you would rather win an election than promote women in a substantive and credible fashion. You would rather divide than unite. You would put Sarah Palin in the cauldron of necessary but vigorous scrutiny -- for which she is not ready, due to heavy concentrations of testosterone in you and your cabal of advisors and heavy ambition and naivety within her. The moment was gone as soon as it came, eclipsed by whispered innuendo of a secret Muslim agenda and talk of elitist exotics who describe bitter mindset of people who historically struggle.

Why process over goal? If there were no yesterday, today would look different and my moment of remembrance might have lasted longer. Leadership ability is examined in the now and John McCain in far too many moments has been less than presidential in approach. He cannot be made credible on a whim of emotion that arises on a somber day.

McCain looked like he was trying to walk side-by-side with someone else in the beginning. Looking around for Cindy or Bloomberg.

I liked how Obama gracefully moved him forward, led them all, was polite but knew the right thing to do.

I have a feeling McCain didn't was the side-by-side comparison with the younger,, fitter and much taller man. I think he really is intimidated by that photographic comparison.

Can't say that I blame him.

And yet-even with this moment of 'truce', McCain still can't figure out WHY Obama 'doesn't campaign WITH me'. Good grief, John! It we can see it from a brief meeting at a memorial service, what would our impressions be if we saw it at least THREE TIMES MORE? Oh-they were also together at the Service Forum at the end--again, Obama was the tall younger guy on the right. I think we may be in for a few more surprises from the Obama camp--JOE BIDEN and his wife were in the audience at the Service Forum last night too!
