Palin Drops Reference To "Bridge To Nowhere" In Speech

In speech after speech to crowds in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia in recent days, Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican candidate for vice president, has made sure to mention the so-called Bridge to Nowhere, the Alaska project that has become the symbol of earmarks, and what she portrays as her "thanks but no thanks" position on it.

When she landed in Fairbanks in her home state on Wednesday night, though, the bridge was notably absent from an (otherwise mostly similar) speech she made inside an airplane hangar before her homestate crowd.

Ever since she first said it, two weeks ago, critics have questioned her claim that she "told Congress, 'thanks but no thanks on that Bridge to Nowhere.'"

I heard Tom Hartman today on Air America talk to many people about how the McCain Camp have been sending out Absentee voting ballots to people with past addresses and other wrong info and asking them to return the ballots. Please pass this on...There are some people who have even received phone calls from the McCain Camp telling them that their ballots are on the way and should be mailed back to them. Can you imagine if Senator Obama was doing this??? Tom doesn't presume to know why this is going on. But he doesn't see it in any voter interest who isn't for JM sending their ballots to his camp...PLE­ASE PASS THIS ON!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!

I have been emailing the dnc to have howard dean hold a news conference to challenge the media to do their job and ask Palin questions in a news conference!! If he does that, he will get national coverage for the news conference, and then the media would ask mccain why she can't come out of her bunker. Mccain will refuse, and then THAT will be a story. Both the dean news conference and the mccain response would be on the national news and get the publicity out there that she is a fraud!!! Call the democratic partys of your state to have them and obama push back against this scheme to hide her from the media!!!!!
