CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez has thrust the OPEC nation into its worst diplomatic crisis for years by expelling the U.S. ambassador in a growing feud between Washington and Latin America's leftist leaders.

Chavez, who calls ex-Cuban leader Fidel Castro his mentor, also on Thursday repeated a threat he has made often to cut off Venezuela's oil supply to the United States.

"Go to hell, s--- Yankees, we are a dignified people, go to hell a hundred times," Chavez shouted at a political rally to thousands of roaring supporters dressed in red.

WATCH the video below. If you speak any Spanish, you'll catch the quote at the end:

Yes, the Democratic leadership have enabled these criminals to do their work. Diane Feinstein's husband has made millions since this war started. Yes, you are right. Now, answer the real question, is the Neoconservative movment PNAC good for the country? Is it good for the world? Do they care?

No, they don't.

I will tell you why South America is uniting against the US.

It is because of the NEOCONs in office. Bolivia expelled US ambassadors who were spying and involved with destabilization of their government via terrorism.

These NEOCON criminals who are the administration and who are a part of the PROJECT FOR THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY (PNAC) will rob, steal everything the American people have, and will rob and steal what other countries have in the way of natural resources all for the shoring up of the ruling elite and the top 1% of the economic scale in this country.

That is why South America is uniting against us. We are greedy, insane and dangerous. Why do you think that the Russian Navy is there in Venezula?

What we need now is Sarah Palin right behind that sick old man McCain to set off WWIII.

It is my hope the the media will finally start asking big questions of these two and start the unraveling of this phoney lies they are cramming down people's throats.

Your Bush Derangement levels are dangerously high, and overflowing the guard rails of your common sense. Is everything the fault of unknown, undefined hidden neo-cons? Somehow I think both parties have a hand in the issues of today. The Democratic congress has the lowest approvals in history, GWB is not far above them, and people like you are so apoplectic about your loss of powe,r all you can do is author nonsensical rants.

hmmm... you're the voice of reason, huh? What do approval ratings have to do with condies' argument? Are the American people fully versed on all the details here????
Since when are the vampire neocons "undefined" and "unknown" ??

Do you even know about PNAC? And what they're up to? You're ready to blame the Democrats equally for all of this?? Your cynical arrogance is showing when you accuse someone of "nonsensical rants." Reality hurts, you know. Condieshoes has hope that the truth comes out, knowing that the complete truth is what we all need now. Do you??

I think that "AzRealProgressive" DOES bring out an important point.

Surf to the Library of Congress web-site at http://thomas.loc.gov. Here you will find every vote that is taken in Congress, every bill or draft that is being considered, every public statement.

What you will discover there is something that is much more unified and bi-partisan than you might ever have feared. It isn't just any one leader. All three Branches of our government have been usurped; both Houses of Congress. And, there is a strong and deliberate effort to keep the plebeians -- that's you 'n me -- entertained and distracted throughout.

"By their fruits shall ye know them." Stop listening to what these people say: they are sitting Senators right now, so go see how they voted. Especially at three o'clock in the morning.

Latin America has been subjected to U.S. meddling since its liberation from Spain. Any time one of the countries tried to exert independence from US corporate interests, military juntas, backed by the CIA or other parties, would foment chaos and plunge those countries into terror states run by ruthless dictators like Pinochet. Those countries are now climbing out of hundreds of years of exploitation and resource draining by the United States. Chavez' anger is mild next to the comeuppance we probably deserve.

Do you ever read any real history? Latin America has elected dictator after dictator withut our help or support. Every major foreign power has been involved in Latin American politics for the last 100 plus years. Yet like a typical anti american hater, you single out the US as the problem. Not hardly.

Like a true masker of history, I noticed that you didn't give any specifics and failed to address the example I gave. Here are some more: the CIA was instrumental in CoupD'Etats in Guatamala, The Dominican Republic and the aforementioned Chile, not to mention one colossal failed attempt in Cuba. The US has continually supported military juntas and two bit dictators in Argentina, El Salvador and Nicaragua. When we wanted to build the Canal, we staged a phony independence movement for the region of Columbia now known as Panama, and we've destabilized Columbia for well over a hundred years. The term Yankee imperialism exists throughout all of Latin America and for good reasons.

Furthermore Disagreeing with our government's imperial ambitions in Latin America, does not mean I hate this country. This is a dumb argument. To whit, I hated Franco's government when I was there, but I loved, and still do, Spain. Ditto current day Mexico, China, Russia (and Georgia), etc. Get the idea? Not a hard concept to grasp.

Would you rather live in that "dignified" country or the USA? While it's an oil rich country, it's at the bottom of the pile when it comes to economics, healthcare and education (not to mention freedom and liberty). I guess that's what happens when Fidel Castro is your mentor.

I didnt much care for the 'Chavez is a commie' overtones in this 'article'... Chavez is a socialist more in the European sense than in the 'Red Chinese' mentality... The US hates him because he's not a thug dictator who will sell them resources on the cheap...He actually wants to make a buck to give his people a better life.

Hello from Venezuela!
Interesting to read about your thoughts on Chavez … Believe me, he's Bush but with spanish subtitles. He sells himself as a "socialist" but he's a hard-headed right-wing dictator. Yes, he's "won" democratic elections with large margins, just the same way Mugabe has won elections in Zimbawe (hint! hint!). He has his own version of the Axis-of-Evil - with Bush at the top (remember his comment at the UN after Bush had left the podium? uhmmm the smell of sulfur....).
Venezuela is the US 4th most important oil supplier, but guess what, the US is OUR most important client.
We have a saying in spanish that says : PERRO QUE LADRA NO MUERDE -meaning, A Dog that barks, does not bite.
By the way, for those of you with a limited knowledge of spanish, he was screaming YANQUIS DE MIERDA which means, SHITHEAD Yankis (pardon the excremental language).
If Obama wins, Chavez is Lost. He needs a nucklehead in the whitehouse to keep up his imaginary anti-imperial war.
And before I forget, if you still think he's a great leader, let me give you just a few facts: Per capita income is just about $190 a month; we are suffering from serious food shortages since last year, inflation rate nearing 45% and unemployment at no less than 25%! and that's with the oil at >US$100!

We have got to stop pissing people off long enough to get independent from OIL!

What makes you think Obama can, or will, make us "get independent from OIL?" I'm an Obama supporter, but methinks you're putting just a TAD too much expectation on the man.

We're DEEP in the hole now. Electing Obama won't get us out of the hole. It'll just slow down the rate that we're digging. A little.

The only thing that will get us off oil is market conditions; when gas is 7 dollars a gallon, people will all start walking, bicycling and taking the bus. And we'll all work towards developing a renewable energy infrastructure.

But until that day, we're driven by greed. So if gas prices go down, don't expect to see ANY change. That would require raising taxes, and Obama hasn't shown he has the political willpower to do that.

This is what Obama needs to say: We need to get off the fix of foreign oil and tell the Middle East and thugs like Chavez and the Nigerians they had better step up their game because the party's over. McCain is a lost cause on this issue, so it's not even worth going there. He's Mr. Exxon and Palin is Ms. Marathon.
