ABC:

Sarah Palin on 'Bridge to Nowhere':

CHARLES GIBSON: You have said continually, since he chose you as his vice-presidential nominee, that I said to Congress, thanks but not thanks. If we're going to build that bridge, we'll build it ourselves.

SARAH PALIN: Right.

CHARLES GIBSON: But it's now pretty clearly documented. You supported that bridge before you opposed it. You were wearing a t-shirt in the 2006 campaign, showed your support for the bridge to nowhere.

SARAH PALIN: I was wearing a t-shirt with the zip code of the community that was asking for that bridge. Not all the people in that community even were asking for a $400 million or $300 million bridge.

When she used the term 'empowering women', I almost lost my dinner.

She strikes me as the least empowering human I have seen in a long time.

PALIN THE DAISY COMMERCIAL

AUDIO: All other discussion is irrelvant beside this this one:

VIDEO: Grey screen -- words match audio below.

AUDIO: On September 12, the Washington Post reported, "Palin continued to take a hard line on national security issues when asked whether war with Russia could be necessary if Georgia were to join NATO and Russia crossed its borders again. Palin replied, 'Perhaps so.'

"'I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help,' she said."

VIDEO: Picture of girl pulling petals off a flower.

AUDIO: Palin does not realize that Russia still has enough nuclear weapons to obliterate the United States and Western Europe.

VIDEO: zoom in on girl turns into countdown changes to nuclear explosion.

AUDIO: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 explosion heard.

The amount of direct lies she peddles is staggering.

Huh...the picture I just looked at had her in a shirt that read "Nowhere, Alaska" and then the zip code.

Add another lie to the tote board...moving toward our goal!

Should get the old "Mystery, Alaska" T-shirts. Even Calvin Coolidge and Chet Arthur (to name two V.P.s that succeeded to the Presidency) had more extensive state or national service and were from states that had significant portions of the population. You have to go back to Garrett Hobart to find a V.P with seemingly less experience than Palin, and the most significant act of his term was that he died in office making way for the nomination in 1900 of Teddy Roosevelt.

She is an embarrassment, but let's not forget that John McCain is responsible for picking her. Country First....No, trying to win first.

We might as well have some fun with it......

I am so unimpressed. My mom who is in her 70s and has been following politics all her life, participating in the Great Decisions programs and as a functionary on various levels in the Republican party for a several decades, has a better grasp of issues than does Sarah Palin . But my mom would never want to be Vice President she has better things to do, like pet the dogs, wait for my Dad to cook dinner, exercise, etc etc etc.

So true. Think about the issues you care about, no matter how trivial they may seem. Sports teams, television shows, bands, hobbies, whatever. Don't you follow them and keep up? Shouldn't Palin do the same in her area of interest? it's just pathetic.

Are you joking? Are you parodying a right wing loon? She was just forced to admit that she's been lying to the American public about not supporting the Bridge to Nowhere, and you think she's doing well? She was also forced to acknowledge that she has sought hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks and that Alaska receives far more earmarks per capita than any other state, even though she's been campaigning as an earmark reformer. Yet you think she did well? LMAO. Talk about drinking the Kool Aid. I think we're in the Twilight Zone!

so you think her asking for 300 million dollars for a community of 12 people, maybe 15 is ok? And, she has earmarked, but says McCain is fighting for that and she wants to help. She has received 100 times more per person in her little town than any one in the country....yet she is against it. Which way is it, and what do you support. Are you for earmarks or against...I suppose you can be both with the repub. ticket.

She did well...for the Obama campaign. I wouldn't let her balance my checkbook. The nerve of the GOP running her out there.

Palin is the Titanic of VP picks. A huge sendoff and path to glory. Lofty ideas of greatness and unsinkability.

Undone by her own lack of understanding of this complex office. An office that McCain himself has now proved he is unqualified to hold.

Rearrange the deck chairs all you want. The USS Palin was doomed since its maiden birth.
