Planned Parenthood Defends Obama, Attacks McCain On Sex Ed (VIDEO)

Planned Parenthood defends Barack Obama's record on sex education after a nasty John McCain ad suggesting the Democrat supports teaching kindergartners about sex. In an ad, they say that Obama was helping children protect themselves from sex offenders, while McCain seemingly doesn't care.

"Every eight minutes a child is sexually abused," the narrator says. "That's why Barack Obama supported legislation to teach children how to protect themselves. Now John McCain is twisting the facts and attacking Senator Obama. Doesn't McCain want our children to protect ourselves from sex offenders? Or after 26 years in Washington, is he just another politician who will say anything to get elected?"

is it just me or are all the voice-overs on both mcsame & obama ads really annoying! i can't put my finger on it... it's like an overly dramatic movie voice or something. Well, anyway the content is good and it makes the point good, I just get distracted by these things easily...

I am so happy with this ad, it almost brought tears to my eyes. That McCain ad was so offensive to me, and I was just so upset that no one was doing anything about it. The msm was too busy talking about lipstick on a pig; and sure there was a lot of outrage on places like huffpo, but the people who really need to hear this and understand what McCain has turned this campaign into aren't reading huffpo.

Obama has spent too much time playing footsie with the right wing to the point that he lectures his base on the need to accept that abortion is a painful moral issue that he hasn't struck them where they should. As all reproductive rights organization know, the right wing now wants to get rid of birth control. He should be appealing more to the middle ground on the need for comprehensive sex education, access to birth control, and reproductive rights.

I am very supportive of your underlying support for Obama, but I disagree with your premise here. It was perfectly acceptable to take the moral high ground. It was not until McCain drew first blood that gave the democrat leaning 527s the moral authority to counterattack. Obama has every right to defend himself and his record but the best defense is not always going on the offense. Now, Obama can respond that he is only defending himself against their spurious unprovoked false attacks. Had he gone on the offensive prior to being attacked, he would have been violating the very principles he premised his campaign on.

Thank you. Finally the record is being set straight. I find it disgusting that the lies and inuendos, not to mention free airtime of these ads by the media, can continue and no one calls them on it.
Every lie and falsehood MUST be brought into the light. There are voters out there, unfortunately, that are making their voting decision based soley on these ads and the junk spun by the MSM.
If its a LIE then call them LIARS, over and over and over again!
