YouTuber MinorDemon was inspired by vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's performance with Charles Gibson on ABC this week to mashup the flounderings of the former Alaska beauty queen with the flounderings of the onetime South Carolina beauty queen who baffled and entertained audiences across the planet by pushing onward through a contest question that stumped her to mouth now-famous time-killing phrases and odd jumbles of semi-related word-abstractions on "education" and "South Africa" and "maps" and "American people." The performance was an incredible, even if unwitting, commentary on our mediated-era communications. As MinorDemon points out, camera-friendly vice-presidential nominee Palin looks like an advanced version of the confused teenage beauty.

Keep at it South Carolina, your future as an architect of American foreign policy awaits you!

I believe in, such as, the Iraq, in a world view, such as, the bush doctrine is without maps, such as,
In that respect, I believe in blunders, such as me, and people without maps, like me, such as.
But Freedom, Democracy and free American elections will solve the fact that I'm an idiot...SUCH AS!

This Gal has no place in the White house as she is clueless and we at least need someone in the white house that has a solid underestanding about world affairs. Wow the woman is bad news for America. If you think she can get the job done well then vote for her. But remember when McCain/Palin call for a draft to go to war with Russia....It's going to be your kids going off to war and not college. Enough said.

Finally, the media has gained enough courage to provide some true insight into who Sarah Palin really is, as the New York Times released a front page article this past Saturday, on the real Sarah Palin as a governor, mayor and her character as a person. As women across the country begin to realize that just any woman is not good enough to represent us in the White House, and that every woman in the public eye does not speak for you or me as individuals, I think back to the ongoing myth that was perpetuated during the primaries where the African American vote for Barack Obama was dismissed as being an emotional choice, when, in fact, most seem to forget that many did not vote for Jesse Jackson because he was not the right choice for the White House and he does not -- to this day -- speak for every African American. I think that we are all getting the point; as Women, as African Americans, as people period, that we all need to focus on who will get us back on track as a country, who will not take us into war without valid reason, who is focused on the best interests of this country versus winning at all cost. And, for me, it is not the McCain/Palin ticket.

I have heard lots of (R) pundits say that they also didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was.
They are lying, and Sarah Palin is ignorant.

To date I've heard about 5-6 pundits and read and article by hardcore Dem, Mayor Willie Brown all say that they had never heard of the Bush Doctrine before....just like you.

Well, thank godness none of them are running for Pres or V.P. The Bush Doctrine is the backbone of the Bush admin's foreign policy. With any education in law, political science, or foreign policy - you know the doctrine. Without a doubt, anyone running for an office within the executive branch should know our nation's foreign policy.

I think palin is a secret plant by putin. Considering how much she likes to say that they are soo close. She wanted Alaska to break away from the United States of America so she could make Alaska a part of Russia. Think about it, if you were that close to russia, wouldn't you want the protection of the US of A. Why would she think Alaska could fend off russia itself? Palin is a russian plant.

Yo Sarah Palin's husband is a g*d d*mn traitor and wants Alaskan independence from the United States? What a f*cking traitor. Did I mention that Sarah Palin's husband is a traitor? And that they should've been watching their kids and teaching them about real life instead of pro-life so she wouldn't get pregnant.

C'mon people, let's get tough here

Logic has obviously disappeared from this campaign!, so any complaining or explaining is useless!

We've entered the stage of a no-holds-barred visceral Culture War - you're either for freedom or against it, you're either for white Christian superiority or you're against it! The next 50 days won't change anybody's mind.

All we can do is find the people who agree with us, get them registered and get them to the polls. And then pray that the numbers add up in our favor!

If, in the process, you need a strong dose of pick-me-up sacrilegious humor, I'd highly suggest watching "Coming Soon", a brilliant - a very topical - faux-documentary that'll get your brain spinning. It's still streaming for free at http://www.comingsoon.cz. Watch it while you can! Definitely worth it!!!

Explain to me how it makes more sense to hire a broadcaster turned PTA Mom turned City Council Person turned small-town Mayor turned recent Governor of our Northernmost State (find me a state less like any other in the nation than Alaska, I"m just saying) than a Constitutional Law Professor with a career in the Senate and precise knowledge of foreign affairs and social issues (through his work with the Senate Judiciary¦ facts are also good to throw into political discourse, I"m just saying). And you"ll then say, "but we"re electing the President and not the VP to lead." I will continue thinking you"re stupid and tell you that, "Yes, that is true, but tell me what is more important of a Vice Presidential candidate than the ability to immediately be the President?" It will probably take you a second to come up with something to say, so I"ll then follow up with, "And the same applies to Obama and McCain anyway. Yes, McCain is more qualified in the Commander in Chief sense, but I would again much rather the guy who studied the law and has an intricate knowledge of the very important issues that face us right now than the guy who spent a career in the military and time as a POW." ¨

If I"m giving one a medal, if I"m choosing a hero, if I"m looking for a hardened, true, inspiring Patriot, I"m going with McCain. But I"m not, I"m looking for a President. A man who will surround himself with the best and brightest and enact real change to a country the so desperately needs it. I truly feel like we can resolve to get around to eventually cutting the pork; but why not work on schools and healthcare first? I"m sure McCain could devise a hell of a battle plan and we already know he"s not giving up secrets no matter how Jack Bauer someone goes on him, but I"m also sure that Obama can find someone with equal or better battle planning skills, I have faith they"re out there.

Now I know the meaning of the word "SNARKY" after reading the posts on this web page. Gee, why doesn't someone do a mashup of Sen Obama's flipflops and position clarifications? The whole snarky controversy about Anchorman Charlie's snotty "Bush Doctrine" question to Gov. Palin sounds very junior highish. "I know the Washington beltway in-words and phrases and you don't, Miss Congeniality!" This just reminds me of all the people Jay Leno interviews when he does his "Jay Walking" segment. He goes up and asks all these Obama supporters simple questions like, "What's the address for the White House?" and none of them can answer the question correctly. These are the same people who howl in laughter that Gov. Palin can answer Anchorman Charlie's question about the Bush Doctrine. For crying out loud, 90% of the people who support the Community Organizer couldn't answer "What is the Monroe Doctrine?" correctly, much less, "What is the Bush Doctrine?" Let's not mistake journalistic excellence with Beltway snarkiness!

She's running for Vice President. It would be nice if she knew something about the most significant change is US foreign policy in 50 years.

I sincerely do not think Obama supporters could be as stupid and ignorant of the McCain Palin ones. Just listen to this woman's answers to Gibson's questions, for God's sake. Isn't that prove enough she is not ready for primetime? Gibson is not asking people on the street but a VP candidate who is one old man's herat beat away from the Presidency. BTW, I certainly know what the Bush Doctrine is and I'm not running for anything. Don't you think she should have a minimal idea about the conrnerstone of the Bush administration's misguided foreign policy for the last eight years? This is her president and her party. And she doesn't have a clue? She is not only clueless on this but so many other issues. It is truly a pathetically cynical, political decision. And only the biggest of morons will not see through the Palin surface to see the shallowness and narrowmindedness of this woman.

If you're looking for some Obama bashing head over to Fox News or listen to McCain & Palin campaign.

There is a huge difference between Palin and an average citizen voting for President. Obviously, anyone running for Pres or V.P. SHOULD know the Bush Doctrine. Whereas a citizen need only know which party aligns with their beliefs.

I'm an Obama supporter and a lawyer. I know the Bush Doctrine. I have more education than Palin. I'm more travelled than Palin. AND - I know I'm not equiped to be Vice President.

Is there really any difference between a Sarah Palin and an Osama bin Laden? Both are on personal jihads. Truth does not matter if your ultimate goal is in the name of God.

Equality is a lie¦A myth to appease the masses. Simply look around and you will see the lie for what it is! There are those with power, those with the strength and will to lead. And there are those meant to follow"those incapable of anything but servitude and a meager, worthless existence.
"Equality is a perversion of the natural order!¦It binds the strong to the weak. They [the weak] become anchors that drag the exceptional down to mediocrity. Individuals destined and deserving of greatness have it denied them. They [the strong] suffer for the sake of keeping them even with their inferiors.
"Equality is a chain, like obedience. Like fear or uncertainty or self doubt."

Wow, that is some piece of rank misogyny. I'm surprised they did not embed the beauty queen clip in there as subliminal suggestions to fire up the Obamabots.

I have yet to see one of these critics define the "Bush Doctrine" consistently. There are like 5 different versions going around. The question was a setup and the only mistake she made was to only ask him once to clarify the question because he did no.

"Rank misogyny"? Is there a dictionary somewhere having a special on that phrase?

As for the multiple definitions of The Bush Doctrine, that was pretty quick ball-handling by Krauthammer to break it into four parts, although he needed a pry-bar and a can of Crisco to do it. Plus, it's generally accepted that "Spread Freedom & Democracy" is not so much a core element of the Doctrine itself, but a desperate fig-leaf for the really criminal parts.

In any event, P*alin didn't appear to know ANY of the definitions. I'm surprised she didn't just roll over into default mode and say "We shouldn't try to second-guess what Israel needs to do to defend itself," which seems to be her answer to everything.
