You can see the attitude in the police in large cities, at the airports with Homeland security, in the police actions at the GOP convention in Denver in local authorities surveillance and action against protesters and the press ... no badges or name tags on Denver police breaking and entering domiciles of protest groups, and using intimidation against anyone who questioned police actions! This is the result of Cheney's attempts to destroy accountability in government on a high level and it has seeped into the low level where every local sheriff and police chief thinks he can treat ordinary citizens as terrorists ... just because he can get away with it. This is fascism and even rational elements in the Bush government and GOP know it. Cheney and Bush should be held accountable for their actions!
