Washington Post:

A burst of ferocity stunned the room into silence. No other word for it: The vice president's attorney was shouting.

"The president doesn't want this! [1] You are not going to see the opinions. You are out . . . of . . . your . . . lane!"

I laugh when I hear such comments about Palin, like, "she's only running for VP, not President." Just look how much damage Cheney has done while he was "just VP." He had found that he could corrupt all he wanted to and let this psuedo President and all his corrupt employees take the heat. Great distraction, Dicky. I hope in the end justice will prevail. This man has been worse of an enemy to the United States than Osama Bin Ladin.

Cheney is pure evil, but that didn't prevent people from voting for Bush again.
We get what we deserve if we don't do some major housecleaning and get rid of the rethugs.

Personally I am SICK of these Stories from INSIDERS. I think these people should be arrested and held resposible for the crimes of this administration right along side the Criminals who committed them.

Where were these people BEFORE the 2004 Elections? WHy didn't the come out THEN?? If they had maybe the world would be a much better place.

I AM NOT IMPRESS with ANYONE stepping forward now for their own financial gain.

THEY TOO ARE RESPONSIBLE!

Yeah, that's really constructive. That only further assures that none of this stuff sees the light of day.

I can see your point and, emotionally, I agree with it, but pragmatically, you have to take what you can get in such circumstances. Just ask prosecutors trying mafia kingpins with the help of slimeball underlings.

Let's not forget the segment of voters that are one issue voters and "Liberal" haters;that don't see anything except their own oversimplified agenda.

They were afraid. They did not want their careers ruined and to feel Bush style revenge. They only come forward now because they believe they won't be out on a limb alone, and maybe can sell some books.

careers?? Remember that DC Madam who was found "hanged" even though she said if she died it would be murder. All that scandal and investigation ended when she died.

Absolutely. These sociopaths are sending out their resumes now. Instead of being rewarded with a new job, they should be arrested foo crimes against the United States.

Unless all the other pack leaders go to jail first. For all of their lateness, at least they are whistleblowers. Don't killl the messagers without the real criminals.

Why would anyone think that cheney cared about anything but his own power. cheney and bush have made a mockery of the term "civil servant." It's good that there is no statute of limitations for war crimes.

Well Obama's cousin Cheney has caused pure chaos. It will take his cousin Obama to clean it up.

You don't really expect that "They" (the powers that be) would actually give you anyone to vote for do you? By the time you get to vote for Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum they have both been bought and paid for. If you don't believe me just wait to see after the election if any of these ugly repressive laws get rescinded or the policies change. It's like one party picks your right hand pocket and the other party picks your left hand pocket; what's the diff you still get robbed.

Cheney Was “Gaming The System, Using Secrecy And Intimidation”
What else has he ever done? It is who is has always been. Of course HE won't be the one paying for it ....we ALL will just as we all are now.
That's what people have to think about this election: That and the Supreme Court and what will happen to our Bill of Rights and Constitution if this same dict@torial bunch stay in power and appoints more R!ghtw!ngers.

This particular incident started as and end round with GWB not in the know not that he would have objected.

Cha ney is an evil arrogant man and he have vouched for Pa lin; she has already displayed a wickedness proving herself closer to Ime lda Mar cos that Ang ela Me rkle. Now add in the intelligence of a guy with a vision that stops sometime in circa 1970 we have a perfect storm brought to us by lobbyist, corporations, and some the ridiculously wealthy (over 5 million) willing to risk the possibility of saving a dime in taxes.

The CinMc's can easily live a Madonna like life offshore they will not be impacted; 2008 we can ill afford imelds and ferdanand; you can go to almost any struggling nation and find opulence while the masses live in object proverty this seems to be the vision of Mc; now the financial czars greenspan & buffett, the army , health care and the masses have spoken out; we still march to the tune bo mb bo mb.
188 nations listed on CIA list of wealth and we proudly hold the dead last spot with no plans from this man who's never had to even budget his weekly expenses. We cannot afford a dolt.

This is WHY the Republicans are desperate to win - again, and have put forth the worst LIARS they know are mediocre but can control -- as Candidates. John McCain and Sarah Palin are the lowest of the low -- and will say/do anything to win to prevent accountability by kicking the can down the road.

It should have been clear to anyone with any amount of objectivity long ago that Cheney belonged in Stalin's Soviet Union, not in the United States of America. And now the people who support him want to keep their greasy fingers on the levers of power and they'll do anything to accomplish that. This election is not just a test of which brand Americans would like to lead them. It's a test of who Americans are and what kind of country America is going to be.

Absolutely. But again this country is currently riddled with a form of a.d.d.. Even if some truth pops through this complacent fog, we're back imagining that this race is just a popularity contest, and the magnitude of what's actually at stake is again diminished. When Obama says ENOUGH why doesn't he fully elaborate the memory and informationally impaired.
