Financial Times:

Barack Obama fought to regain the initiative in the presidential race on Tuesday as the Wall Street financial crisis threatened to stall the recent burst of momentum behind John McCain.

The banking meltdown has thrust the economy back to the centre of the campaign, giving Mr Obama a chance to hit back after two weeks of declining poll numbers and escalating Republican attacks.

Here, in my view, is the sleaziest statement of this entire election:

So I redid it with astericks in their names and it came up straight away. It was a longer post but there were no swearwords, or anything inappropriate that I can recall, just the names without the asterisks.
