McCain's campaign has been all over the place today - from the economy, to his criticism of morning show anchors, to whether he invented the BlackBerry and on Sarah Palin's inability to run a company. And to make matters worse, conservative pundits are turning against McCain.

The biggest flub came this morning when McCain slammed Wall Street "fat cats" even though his single biggest donor is Merrill Lynch. After denouncing the very people that help pay for his campaign, McCain suggested the government set up a commission to look into what went wrong. Barack Obama criticized McCain for "passing the buck" on the economy:

Democratic candidate Barack Obama says he will take regulatory oversight seriously as president and accuses his Republican opponent, John McCain, of wanting to "pass the buck."

McCain proposed Tuesday to create a commission to study how the economic crisis came about. McCain compared it to the Sept. 11 commission established to investigate the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The polls tomorrow will not be different because people are too stupid to realize that McCain = Bush.

You're right, for the most part; if any change occurs it will show late this week/early next week.

But you have to remember that the polls are easily used as a tool of discouragement, and obviously, they are all over the map in this election, in regards to accuracy.

We just have to keep plugging away at it. The facts and the evolving circumstances are in Obama's favor, and I believe th tide will turn; the best result would be for it to turn sharply within a week of the election.

I still believe that there are enough uncounted Obama supporters nationwide that at least one [maybe two] narrow margin red states will quite surprisingly turn blue.

and to top it off Once again the McCain camp mocks the Obama campaign for ’tax cuts’!
State Legislative Aide

Just b/c Joe and Obama want tax payers to be able to afford the most afforadable items such as a toaster, McCain makes fun of it! Not everyone can afford a toaster and they damn well should be able to!

These people are so out of touch!

McCain and Palin are ahead in the polls and electoral vote because O has no solutions to any problems other than blaming Bush.

Oh, please. Quit embarrassing the good citizens of my fine city with your idiotic ravings.

Obama has been ahead in the EV for months and I see no reason that will change. As for the polls, though the daily trackers are not as accurate as they've been in previous elections due to unprecedented number of new voters, they have been showing a steady move toward Obama, away from McCain, and decreasing favorable numbers for Ms. Palin over the past two days.

It's low information people like you that give Pittsburgh a bad name.

That's good that Merrill Lynch is his biggest single contributor. They should have told him that IRA accounts and IRA accounts are not subject to capital gains taxes, since he is 'confused' about it.

McCain's friendship with the media helped him win the nomination. Now he's at war with it. Does he have an exit strategy, or will he be at war with the media for the next 10,000 years too?

Ctmommy, McCain is tooo stupid to even read a telepromter and he's even having a hard time reading his index cards. Just because Obama WRITES his own with help which they all have help, he atleast can write his own Speeches, McCain graduated at the bottom of his Naval Academy Class, 5th from the bottom of a class of 800. Senator Obama, graduated from Harvard, was President of the Harvard Law Review and taught Constitutional Law at Harvard, I rest my case. So he can a telepromter better, but atleast he can also write his own speeches and talking points, so you idiots who think McCain and his Barbie are capable of running this country, apparently you graduated at the bottom of your class also.

Obama cannot sit back and wait for anything. He, Biden, their staffers and surrogates must work like fiends until election day.

lame website. I like Biden in the beginning then he was ousted, then I liked Hillary. She was later wiped off the list. Now as a true Democrat, I have no place to go. I do not want to see Obama in the White House. He is not a true patriot. Hillary, at least, would fight for this country. She is tough on crime and tough on foreign radicals. This chump we call 'change man' made the biggest mistake, not picking Hillary and for the Democratic party to turn around and say we are all one is an insult. We need to wake up on qualifications and what is best for this country.

If you are truly a "true democrat", you would be able to see that Barack Obama is himself a true democrat. I was a strong Hillary Clinton supporter...I even gave money to her campaign. I am also a woman. I can't imagine voting for anyone other than Obama. He speaks to me and to my core values and issues. The republicans have nothing to offer. I am wondering why you think that Obama is not a true patriot? What evidence do you have to back that claim? What makes you think that he would not be tough on crime and foreign radicals? And what qualifications does he lack? I truly want to know, because I haven't seen anything that would make me think any of those things. And for the record, I love Hillary Clinton, but she was not the right choice for Obama as a vice presidential candidate. And he wouldn't have been her best choice either. That doesn't mean that Joe Biden isn't a good choice...I think that he is an excellent candidate.
