MoveOn Ad Uses "My Friends" Tic On McCain Lobbyists

A new MoveOn ad posits who John McCain is really talking about when he says "my friends" -- his favorite lobbyists. Watch:

"With the economy on the skids and gas prices high, we can't afford a McCain Presidency paid for by Big Oil," said Eli Pariser, Executive Director of MoveOn. "McCain's campaign, stacked with lobbyists from Big Oil, promises four more years of the same Bush economic and energy policies."

The RNC reacted quickly -- with Tony Rezko and Bill Ayers. "Barack Obama has 'friends' of his own, including unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers who helped launch his political career, convicted felon Tony Rezko who helped purchase his home, and his campaign's chief strategist who at one point had the biggest lobby contract in New York state history, spokesman Alex Conant said. "As Obama's star starts to fade, his special-interest friends are responding to his campaign's pleas for help."

Funny how there is a marked decrease in pub troll activity today. It reminds me of a saying I once heard but can't quite remember. Let's see, I can recall rats and a ship that is sinking. Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me eventually. Great ad, though.

it's funny how sean hannity can only come up with two names ayers and rezko - yet the list continues to grow for mccain's and palin's list of associates "friends" on a daily basis.
if there was any, i mean any ties between ayers and rezko other than what obama has stated; believe me sean hannity and rush limbaugh would have found them.
obama has not done anything illegal with either of these men. if he had ,sean and rush and o'reily and rove and all the racist bigots would have found, it reported, and obama's political ambitions would have been over. but since they don't have any legal or other ties they just continue to drop the names - which is lynching by association. they count on the ignorance of the public to buy into the lies.

According to an article from The Arizona Republic dated June 14, 1991, McCain joined with two other senators and nine House members June 13 to introduce legislation to rescind more than $1 billion in funding for 325 federal pork-barrel projects in the 1991 budget that had not yet been spent.

"Listen, my friends, the system is broke, and this is the way to start fixing it," McCain announced at a news conference. "There may be legitimate projects on this list, but I assure you, they are the exception and not the rule."
