During a Florida town hall event with John McCain, Jeb Bush appeared to throw his brother George under the bus. Bush gave a rousing talk about throwing the bums out of Washington. Perhaps he forgot that his brother is the chief bum? Read more here. See the excerpt below:

"Reform becomes contagious," former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, brother of the current president, said at a McCain town hall meeting this week in Orlando. "If you start to dream bigger dreams and you start challenging the basic assumptions, you can change how things work, and we've done it in Florida, and the Good Lord knows we need to do it in Washington, D.C., and John McCain is the right guy at the right time to make that happen."

If the Bush family isn't the definition of a crime family, I don't know what is. I can't see how GWB will have a lbrary named after him when he's out of office.

The library is a shakedown operation, a way to give cash to Bush, Cheney, et al, off the books. The bagmen are DHS.

Let's outsource it to the Netherlands. The Hague has a excellent history in dealing with the likes of the Bush Administration.

I wonder if Jeb will 'now disappear'? Lehman Bros.? CONSULTANT? 'John McCain is the one to get the job done?' Riiight! Lessee-scenes of conversation on Election Night 2000-"Jeb promised me Florida." Fast Forward to pictures of 'tense' Bush family gathering-waiting for the phone call that says, "Florida is yours." Not even the RELATIVES of the current president want to acknowledge his eight years in office. The 'W Library' is going to be an empty building. Either there is too much 'classified material' that can't ever be viewed by historians or others wishing to figure out exactly what the "BUSH II Legacy" is or there just AIN'T that much GREATNESS to preserve. Notice anything else about this here EEEEEELection? How's about those pics of McCain riding on the golf cart with Daddy Bush? Just a few weeks ago. What do you think they were 'discussing' up there in Maine? I doubt that it was the price of golf balls! Nope! I believe that Daddy Bush was letting John in on what was about to happen. About how the Government is probably going to have to borrow more money from our 'allies' in Saudi Arabia. About how the Government is going to have to PRETEND to be looking for Bin Laden so that W. can look presidential. Maybe even about how John could insert a 'point of light or two' into his speeches. Nope-they weren't talking about the price of GOLF BALLS!

But, but, Jeb: You signed the Project for the New American Century, the Neo Con extremist manifesto. Not much hypocrisy, eh?

I wonder if one of the goals of the project was to transform America into a third world country?

Jeb is scary. I know, I live in FL. This guy has moved FL from a great state to the bottom of the barrel on all things. He decimated the higher ed in FL. He decimated the k-12 system. He complained that alls tate workers should be fired; refused to give raises for most of his term and then said that proved his point. Pay minimum wage but complain he doesn't get the greatest employees. He left the economy is shables, even before the entire nation caught the "bush fever". He is insistent about wanting to be president, even though his wife tried to get away without declaring the $10,000 plus purchases when she returned from shopping in Paris.

We normally use "thrown under the bus" as a metaphor. I suspect in this special case that many many people woul like the unspeakably evil Bushes to be literally thrown under the bloody bus.

How courageous of McCain to show Jeb on the stage without fear that somebody throws eggs...
The Miami Herald wrote on Monday:
"Jeb Bush, who was hired a year ago by Lehman Brothers as a financial consultant.

As governor, Bush served on the three-member State Board of Administration that agreed to let the state's retirement fund buy a series of mortgage-backed securities from Lehman Brothers that turned out to be troubled.

The subsequent steep drop in value prompted a $9 billion run on the fund last December by local governments who had invested their money in the SBA managed fund. Lehman also manages two funds for the SBA, which is also heavily invested in some Lehman securities."

Nepotism?!

The "Bus" has turned in to a run away freight train & unless an adult can make their way to the caboose in order to pull the emergency brake soon, it's gonna go over the edge of the cliff... The engine may have already gone.

Anyone in attendance at this speech have the intellect to recall Jeb's part in the 2000 installation of the smirking chimp in the first place? It's hilarious to hear repubs these days spew ad nauseum about shutting down the runaway train of corruption while calling for more oversight in reponse to the debacle THEY created and engineered. McCains "old boy network" is the problem, he claims. Are there any "boys" older than himself and his own campaign advisors (e.g. Gramm)?

What an absurd joke!

It's gotta suck being 'the competent son' and knowing that your elder brother has destroyed your hopes of an ongoing political career.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:51 AM on 09/18/2008

Competent son? The teachers' plummeting retirement fund, the croynism virus that has spread through out business and the gov't whilst Baby Bro was "governing" have had a bleak and getting bleaker affect on the lives of Florida's citizens.

Oh, and I live and work in the school system here, so I know a little something about it.

How about that last presidential election, too................something is rotten in the state of Florida, and it still is bush.
