I just wanted to share the precise moment where Maureen Dowd's column from this morning caused every single one of the neurons in my brain to simultaneously fire in a white-hot suicide fusillade.

Now Sarah's going to the United Nations to shake hands with a couple of African guys wearing robes and will then proclaim her foreign policy education to be complete. I think I did this on a field trip when I was 9 years old. Can I be a veep too?

Yeah, that joke flopped, but the first two paragraphs killed. Best zinger I've seen anywhere so far:

Wow! McCain is going to "expose" Palin to actual people who might know something about "policies". I am astounded that the new ploy to give Palin these kinds of lessons to help her aquire new information kind of reminds me of something. Oh right I have figured out what it is and I am amazed that the very idea might have come from.....SNL!! The "I know Russia because I can see it when I do dishes from my kitchen window" is it right? The mere exposure to anyone with a brain who has done policy work will advance Palin by light years from where she has been. By the way knowing her $50,000 spent on the bordello style office when she became mayor without anyone's approval to spend the money to "re-decorate" says much more about where she is coming from when McCain does his exposing her to these people of value. Red flocked wallpaper and dim lights will not put Palin even close to the same class as the people Mac wants her to meet there.

Palin fits right in with the republicans; she is a BIG BULLY READY TO FIGHT ANOTHER WAR. People usually don't respond well to "bullies". Ask George W. Bush. It never matters how attractive a woman is, if her heart and demeanor come across as "cold" and "hard", it is an INSTANT TURN OFF. To some, of course.................This woman has the character of the Bush Administration. Lies, deceit, cover-ups, cronyism, and the "female victim", all wrapped into one. This is scary. John McCain is 72 years old and he should be more than ashamed of himself. This is truly what one calls; "when honor is lost".................................
