Fox News:

McCain town hall style meetings are generally open to the public where anyone may wait in line on the day of the event and come in without an advanced invitation.

However, at tonight's 3,500 person townhall in Grand Rapids, Michigan-the first time Palin is taking questions from the public- only ticketholders are allowed in.

did anyone ask her if she's a rooskie? not that she'd tell the truth, but we have to get to the bottom of this.

If FOX claims 3,500 people, it must be closer to 2,000 though.

And for some comic relief, here is a new commercial from Blackberry starring John McCain:

I wonder how much the small was paid? Maybe Palin promissed them money from oil profits in Alaska.

UPDATE–McCain campaign officials insist that none of the questions are being pre-screened.

And we are supposed to trust that what unnamed McCain campaign officials tell Fox News is automatically the truth?

I might believe this one.....because Palin failed miserably in her answers (not that she's done well up to this point). Then again..maybe they were prescreened and she *still* couldn't answer them. Unbelievable

Palin was ducking and dodging the answer to the question put to her by an audience member at the town hall meeting as to HER FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE................. It was SO PAINFUL.......... And she NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION................... BECAUSE SHE HAS NO EXPERIENCE.

McCain had to jump in, and all he did was CHANGE THE SUBJECT and talk about Palin's NON-EXISTANT energy experience.

Larry King asked the Repub pundits on his show "WHY DIDN'T PALIN ANSWER THE QUESTION", and they too danced around and didn't give an answer, much to the chagrin of Larry who kept pressing them for one.

Pary tell, what exactly does Palin bring to the table? .................. SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THE ECONOMY, SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT FOREIGN POLICY ..................... SHE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING.

It just gets worse every time she opens her mouth ...................... SHE'S NOT AS QUICK A LEARNER AS SHE CLAIMS SHE IS.

I loved the line from one of the Democtratic pundits on Larry's show who said, "I can see the MOON fom my house, but it doesn't make me an ASTROPHYSICIST"

She's an embarrassment. I really do believe they expected the women to look no farther than her Y chromosome, and Christians to look no farther than being anti-abortion.

They seem to have forgotten that there are people in these groups that are capable of a little critical thought when they make their voting decisions, and there is precious little of that coming from the Republican bunch.

We want some answers that show a little bit of thought even if it's something we don't agree with. I could at least respect that.

She's an insult. Americans deserve better!

Actually, if she's a woman, she doesn't have a Y chromosome. Women are XX. But otherwise, yes, you're right.

Here you go. Obama can get 14,000 without even trying

Before a crowd of roughly 14,000 residents of Las Vegas, Nev., sitting in the bleachers of Cashman Center -- home to the minor league baseball team the Las Vegas 51s -- Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., Wednesday evening continued to mock Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., as out of touch on the economy.

Unless you live in a very small town, you don't have one. A "town hall" is where all the town's business is taken care of. The police station, city council, clerk's offices, and courts are in there. It is usually in the middle of town and the rest of the town kind of spreads out from there.

And a lot--most?--cities have city halls, but cities are so large that it isn't as central to the city as, I infer, a town hall is to a town.

I guess if they had a tent meeting some may mistake it for an evangelical tent meeting so a town hall is probably a safer call.

Now, don't get too snide. When only 114,000 people in the whole state of Alaska vote for you for governor, 3500 is a lot to show up for a rally.

So did they take all the cameras, cell phones and video recorders and eliminate the press, except maybe FOX? Just got home and have not seen tv other than The daily show with is on in the background.

Is that Palin some sort of rooskie? I mean, them rooskies are always trying to infiltrate our country through alaska. Maybe she gave it away when she talked about seeing her homeland from her post in alaska. Do we know anything about this rooskie?

So a crowd of 3500 is a lot. What a joke. Obama had a crowd of 14,000 the other day.

How sad McCain can't draw a crowd by himself. Soon the pair won't draw much of a crowd either, since they just keep repeating the same speech over and over again... The crowd response to their 'zingers' is flat. When you hear Palin lie, and everyone in the crowd now knows she's a liar, about the bridge to nowhere... you can hear the groans and the air leave the room.

"Hi, you guys RULE!
Well I guess I have only one question.
Who's your favorite Jonas Brother?

And how can I teach my homeschooled, special needs 17year-old, to be a Maverick?"

You mean the fact that you are home schooling isn't enouigh of an indicator he (or you) is already a maverick?
