Clooney

Returning "ER" legend Anthony Edwards has some words for his former co-star, George Clooney.

Edwards, who is heading back to "ER" for one episode during the show's final season as the beloved Dr. Mark Greene, said Clooney should think about making an "ER" comeback himself.

"I think he'd be a fool not to," Edwards told Access during a recent visit to the set. "But you know, who knows what'll happen."

And it appears Edwards isn't the only one encouraging Clooney to reprise his role as Dr. Doug Ross.

"I know they want to do everything they can to bring everybody back," Edwards said of the show's producers.

Wait a minute....how are they going to bring back a DEAD Dr. Green?

That was my question too. Dream sequence ala Dallas? Voodoo, raise the dead? Miracle conversion technique? And is it a recurring role or just a cameo?

I thought it was already in reruns. Clooney would be nuts to even consider it. He moved so smoothly to the big screen many years back.

Clooney already did a cameo, when he and Carol got back together. The only way to truly bring Clooney back would be to have Doug, Carol and the two little girls move back to Chicago so Doug could take over as head of Pediatrics at the hospital. Don't think it will happen, but it would be nice. Have watched ER for the last few years (never even saw Clooney in regular prime time), but have seen the reruns over and over.

Reading through this thread I realize....that....damn ....you people are nasty !!
LOL...ER deserves a fond send off...no matter what you think of the show now...or any of the ex cast members.
I don't think this has to do with the stars of the show...it has to do with what ER...through the years... has meant to us......J.Q. Public...the viewer.

Lighten up people life is short.
Remember this.......there's a line you cross and once you've crossed it...you are as bad a a republican.
ewwwww.
be nice....

Don't do it George. Let ER die the painful and miserable death that it deserves.

no.... he got it the other way around. Edwards has done nothing of note in quite a while. Clooney's record speaks for itself. I think it could be damaging if he came on - and I was a HUGE fan of the early years.

If it wasn't for ER - Clooney would be "that guy" from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes 2 movie!

Clooney will be back. If you saw the AFI or American Cinematique show he was honored at, he went out of his way to express his gratitude for what ER did for his career. I imagine he'll do an episode.

Frivolity is the cornerstone of fun. I thought George knew that...

Some celebs don't want to go back to their old shows but I have news for them. Fans know who can act and who won't be typecast. Clooney should go back for old time sake and give his fans a farewell to a good, long running show.

Edwards needs the money; Clooney doesn't.

That's probably why Edwards' fee is going to charity, hm?

Anthony Edwards was a highly-paid star of a top TV series for a long time; he's not as wealthy as Clooney, but he's way, waaaaay far off from "needs the money."

So right. Edwards cleaned up in his final years on ER as did Wyle.

Apropos of nothing, given the choice of a mate between Edwards and Clooney and I'd take Edwards in a heartbeat!
