Palin At Town Hall: "Play Stump-The-Candidate If You Want To"

Vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin says she's ready for her world affairs quiz.

At her first town hall meeting since being chosen for the GOP ticket, Palin said that if elected, she will be ready by Inauguration Day to serve. Asked about her credentials, she said skeptics are free to quiz her.

"If you want specifics with specific policies or countries go ahead and you can ask me. You can even play stump-the-candidate if you want to," she said Wednesday evening.

She did not offer the questioner the chance to pose a follow-up question so the quiz show will have to wait.

Why does she always wear her hair down in Q&A or interview situations? I can't help but think earpiece. Yet hair is up for the teleprompter.

She doesn't seem that bright (about world matters at least) because she's NOT.

She basically repeats elements from her convention speech when answering questions and in interviews over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Why? Probably because her knowledge is like, what I heard another political pundit call it, about "an inch wide and an inch deep".

Amazing how she bristles at those who question her. Her mask falls off pretty easily and the public will soon find out how much contempt she actually has for them.

I saw that video clip on Countdown, ran it back and watched it again. She talked about how ready she is, but never did answer the gentleman's question. She's very good at talking... and saying nothing.

She has neither done nor said anything that justifies revising my original impression of her - all fluff and no substance.

The fact is that she doesn't have a clue how to deal with any of the multitude of problems that have to be addressed to save our country. The country can't wait while she goes to school and our problems aren't going to be corrected by her 'winging it'. We just don't have time for her to grow up.

Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC just revealed that her asking the audience to stump her came at the very end of the event. It was the last question taken from the audience before the candidates left, so people didn't get a chance to stump her.

What a farce.
