I Like ItI Don’t Like It

This video from a Palin event today catches the vice presidential nominee putting herself before John McCain on the ticket. Check out the video and read more here from ABC News.

Politico's Jonathan Martin had this related report:

At a rally outside Youngstown, Ohio, Tuesday night, dozens of attendees left while McCain was still speaking.

I caught up with a few of them. Some explained that the airplane hangar where the rally was being held had grown crammed and uncomfortable. Others said they had other events or commitments to get to.

Notably, though, the exodous had only begun after Palin spoke.

Now, the same thing has happened again.

"I look up, about five minutes into McCain's address and see a steady stream of people walking out of the rally," writes Radio Iowa's Kay Henderson from a McCain-Palin event in Cedar Rapids.

Have a look at this video - it becomes clear that Sarah Palin's beliefs have been shaped by the teachings of her extremist church. At 12, Sarah Palin was re-baptised, together with her whole family, at the Wasilla Assembly of God Church. Palin attended Wasilla Assembly of God Church for roughly two and a half decades.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0utkTp7DTw

During that time Wasilla Assembly of God joined an Insurgent theological movement, initially arising with Pentecostalism, weich denounced in 1949, by the General Council of the Assemblies of God, as heretical.

Known as the Third Wave, this movement sees the earth largely under the influence of demon powers.

"Third Wave" believers seek to map out areas of "demonic influence" and drive out demon powers with prayer - from cities, towns and even entire geographic areas.

They also fight what they feel to be rampant human witchcraft.

The Wasilla Assembly of God and its Masters Commission Program enjoy a close relationship with a key Third Wave center, Rick Joyner's Morningstar Ministries.

Wasilla Assembly of God both endorses Rick Joyner's books and and also includes author Joyner's works closely within its Masters Commission curriculum.

Key Morningstar leaders, and other prominent Third Wave figures, frequently visit the Wasilla Assembly of God.

Well, I really don't see why this is news. All the Paliban know that once Jesus calls McCain home, it'll be President Palin! After all, she HAS to be in charge for Operation Rapture to be successful!!

Hey! Even McCain thinks they should flip the ticket!

I know all politicians stretch the truth (lie) a little bit, but it's really disgusting the amount that has been sputtering out of this guy lately. How can anyone not see through it? Those who blindly rationalize his lies with more lies say they prefer common sense over education.. I think not - common sense tells you this guy has lost his marbles!

Looks like poor Sarah is getting upstaged by the $700,000,000,000,000,000,000 bailout. She's still talking about Energy. Gawd. Doesn't she realize that that was LAST WEEK's subject? But she still has some great zingers. She's the best cut-up of Obama that I've seen so far.

But as an Independent, while I was favoring McCain last week, I'm leaning toward Obama this week, simply because McCain seems so clueless on the economy. Obama has had the good sense to wrap himself in Bob Rubin and other Clinton Administration economists. What he should do now is keep his mouth shut and say what they tell him to say.

Is Obama saying that we have to rescue every homeowner facing foreclosure? You know, foreclosures are not something that just started happening this year. People are constantly buying homes that are above their means. What else is new. But do taxpayers have to save them?

I can't imagine any sentient voter handing McCain the keys to the White House at this point. And Palin lurking over his shoulder makes the thought of him winning even scarier.

This site chronicles the smear machine that top democrats have set up. It's like the return of Nixon, 10 times as bad.

Whether it's McCain/Palin or Palin/McCain, both are con artists in every sense of the word.

So now I'm reading on the New York Times that Palin is scheduled to meet with Henry Kissinger, Harmid Karzai, the leaders of Pakistan, Georgia, Colombia, and Iraq in the span of two days. WTF? Is this the McSame camp's version of speed dating? No doubt Caribou Barbie is going to somehow come out of this and tout the fact that she has met with world leaders and now has a far better understanding of foreign policy because she's looked each of them in the eye and has seen directly into their souls. Arrgh! They must really believe that intelligence and understanding happen through instant osmosis rather than through deliberate thought OVER TIME. Not just some talking points written on a 3x5 index card. At least I'll give her credit for meeting with these leaders... maybe she'll adjust the view from her porch in Alaska.

This story is not worthy for discussion. People misspeak themselves all the time. It happens however whenever Barack Obama does 57 states, calling the President of Canada everybody writes that off his mind is moving to fast his words can't catch. Joe Biden gets so excited he calls him Barack America. I bet these are on youtube but you will never see it here. It's just stupid. People misspeak themselves all the time. Gerald Ford said that there was no Soviet Domination of Eastern Europe and that was the end of poor of Gerry. Were these people thinking so fast that there words can't catch up. Give me a break.

** Palin’s inverted elitism fails reality tests **

• Palin’s vision is “Gilead”

A fragment of a failed America, Gilead is a nation controlled by christian fundamentalist terrorists and their transnational corporate overlords. (Search term: dominionism)

In The Handmaid’s Tale, Canadian novelist Margaret Atwood evokes a dystopian society in which women have been stripped of all rights. Gilead is Ameristan, complete with christian Taliban. (A film appeared in 1990. IMDb.com/title/tt0099731)

• Ameristan is within you

The US is an aberration among developed nations in its affinity for xian enthusiasms and in its failure to accept basic truths like evolution via natural selection. A plurality of Americans think that evolution does not take place. (http://pewforum.org/surveys/origins/)

A nation overwhelmingly god-fearing also overwhelmingly rejects science. Millions lack a critical intelligence to evaluate the garbage they stuff into their brains. Palin is one of them. Her disinformed science and blatant egoism reinforce each other.

• When mythology becomes ideology - building Ameristan here and now

McCain's calculated cynicism in selecting ultra-right Palin reveals his lack of judgment and his capricious nature. He’s no “maverick”. He's unfit for duty.

Palin’s dominionist delusions are ideological madness. Her fundie xianity is a toxic ersatz for public policy, domestic and foreign. She is a throwback to the mental and moral world before 1850. Like G. W. Bush, she is dangerous for her lack of imagination, absence of intelligence, and inverted elitism common among consumers of junk-food faith.

She sure is taking over the joint. She didn't even catch the slip. Must have been Freudian.

Did you notice how she pimped her family once again? She mentioned my "family" knows that it takes small businesses to keep the ........?

WTF!! does a family have to do wiith small businesses? She just throws her family into anything. What's next foreign diplomacy? I will sit down and talk to Putin just like I do with my FAMILY when we have a family conflict.

She is a big fat joke, that is quickly becoming not very funny at all.
