This video from a Palin event today catches the vice presidential nominee putting herself before John McCain on the ticket. Check out the video and read more here from ABC News.

Politico's Jonathan Martin had this related report:

At a rally outside Youngstown, Ohio, Tuesday night, dozens of attendees left while McCain was still speaking.

I caught up with a few of them. Some explained that the airplane hangar where the rally was being held had grown crammed and uncomfortable. Others said they had other events or commitments to get to.

Notably, though, the exodous had only begun after Palin spoke.

Now, the same thing has happened again.

"I look up, about five minutes into McCain's address and see a steady stream of people walking out of the rally," writes Radio Iowa's Kay Henderson from a McCain-Palin event in Cedar Rapids.

I think we have something to be really worried about here. Just what part is the "first dude" playing? The fundamentalist christian right have a very hard time dealing with women in positions of authority over men. I loved David Gushee's article 9/15 in USA Today. I am always tickled when someone else has the same thoughts I do, and can get them published. "She should grow in willing, joyful submission to (her husbands) leadership." Is Sarah doing just that? Her Dude seems to have exercised a lot of power in Alaska. Seems to have had his fingers in everything. When are people in the media going to start asking just what his role will be in the White House if McCain is actually (Great Spirit forbid) elected? We were sure worried about Bill Clinton! I have not seen Palin with out the Dude since the great announcement. Any comments out there from our leftest readers??

Cause she's not a butchy woman; she is married to a man, her husband, her "partner" ... do you understand??

So, sweety, you are saying that you don't care that a man you know absolutely nothing about might be out next co-vice president? Let see, do we want Cindy McCain making policy, or perhaps leading us in the next war (since McCain is so sure we are going to have a LOT more wars). You know, I don't think it is going to be the Muslim Jihadists that start the nuclear war. It is going to be fundamentalist christians that really believe they will translate before the holocaust, or that Jesus will come down and save them. That scare me - yes, I understand perfectly!

Go to McCain-Palin rallies and yell it out. Make the media report it.

I am so tired of that Palin. She isn't even worth dicussing. She is McCain VP for polical reasons only. Just to take the spotlight off of McCain. He drags her and Cindy along to prop him up.

she is worth discussing but the Media needs to step up and make her participate in several press conferences. We have a little over 5 weeks until the election and she has not been subjected to any impartial questioning by the media.

What a shame! See below.

The story is all over Progressive Talk Radio today about the McCain campaign sending absentee ballot applications to registered democrats or people that have donated to Obama's campaign. These ballots are deliberately misleading and have postage paid return addresses that are for an election clerk that is outside of your city or town. What this will end up doing is either having your vote not counted, or if you return one of these, they will cite you for election fraud, saying that you already voted absentee. These ballots are only being sent out in 'purple states' and this is a big deal.. This is called voter caging, and is a huge problem.

The McCain campaign is stealing this election as we speak. Please get this information out to as many people as you can ,and tell anyone you know who has received one of these ballots that they need to contact their city election clerk or the supervisor of elections immediately. Also call the local media and let them know what is going on.

The main stream media is never going to cover this so we have to depend on our ground campaign to get the word out to our voters.

I saw her say this yesterday and I was wondering why it took so long before anyone spotted it, McCain is nothing without Palin and what's more is that now she apparently knows it, what's worse for McCain is that if he wins he'll have ridden into the White House on the coat-tails of the Vice President. The bad thing for McCain right now is that a lot of her initial appeal is beginning to wear off and voters are beginning to see that she should not be VP.

every young american, especially those in "red states" needs to see this video to understand what is at stake in this election. energy and the economy may seem like big issues now, but let's not forget that the palin-mccain administration has promised more wars. bush has backed out of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and developed "usable nucular" weapons (even though he cant even pronounce them). iran, russia and north korea are aligning and if mccain palin get into the white house we will definitely see a nuclear war in the next 10 years. watch this video too see the facts as presented by mccain and his cronies

I love the way the cons are so enamoured of Palin and cling to her regardless of continued revelations. It's the exact same way they loooved Shrub and for the same reasons too, and where did that get them and unfortunately the country too. Unfortunately for them, they lack the intelligence to learn their lessons, and just as Shrub has been the ruination of the GOP, Palin is going to be the anchor around McSame's neck and also incur further damage to the GOP.

They are so blind, they don't even recognize they are heading down the same path. They forget that Shrub seemed like a shooting star at first, that he too spoke of god and guns and all the same talking points.

They were even foolish enough to remove McSame as the point man and driving force and gave it to SP diminishing McSame's stature. And when ah-Palin fails them as Shrub has, they are going to scramble to put the impetus back on McSame. But by then it will be too late and just make George McSame seem more foolish.

This morning Pat Buckingcrazy said we keep talking about experience and look where that's gotten us, maybe we need someone with no Washington experience. It's not about experience, it's about intelligence. W is dumb and the country is jacked up. We should follow up with another dumb president?

Then Pat Buckingstupid called McToken this girl.

Palin is the worst, but in all fairness, I think it's silly to jump all over people for misspeaking. Obama does it, McCain does it, everyone misspeaks sometimes.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:23 PM on 09/19/2008

Larry, you're right, but come on, in the back of your mind, she has got to be what Rich Hall used to call "greedling," (a word he made up that means, "Pretending to read the inscription on the birthday card when you really just want to know how much the check is for") and counting the days to when McCain will die and be out of the way so she can usurp the presidency.

Surely, that has gone through yours and everybody else's mind given her previous behavior. She is a cross between Kathy Lee Gifford, Spiro Agnew and Evita Peron.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:29 PM on 09/19/2008

What makes you think she misspoke? She is being applauded for being a person who speaks her mind, plain and simple.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:36 PM on 09/19/2008

She didn't misspoke on abortion, and neither Sen.McCain did. This shows that they have intelligence! Sen. Obama said that the topic "was above his pay grade." That shows a lack oif intelligence!

Some say, " As a man thinketh, so he is."

Palin is on record for saying, "I don't want to be mayor. I want to be president."

She said that years ago. So my question to you is:

Was this a misspeak?

Or, did this ... come from that?

Compare Founding Fathers education and devotion to the free thought with the Sarah and Todd Palin's pitiful intellectual (actually anti-intellectual) baggage. The very fact that such person as Palin is seriously considered to occupy a place at the wheel of a large industrial country says a lot about this country's decline.
