If Bill doesn't step it up for Obama he is a disgrace to the Democartic Party.
Oh yea, he already is. Maybe he's to blame, in part for us losing the past two presidential elections.
He should go down as a good president, but one who disgraced the office, made lying ok, redefined "relations", and squandered his 2nd term and our future in doing so.

If you are also frustrated with the Republican attacks and want to do something to support Obama, help me reach my fundraising goal for Obama. I know it sucks having to give, but for those of us who care about progressive politics now is not the time to hold out. Help keep Obama's momentum going.

I really do think he has stepped it up. He's scheduled to make a ton of appearances for Obama, and his DNC speech was terrific, and I say this as someone who is not a fan of Clinton or his performance as president.

Yes, his DNC was terrific. But I am not aware of his scheduled Obama appearances. If you have info or links with the details, please post

He said Obama would win "handily", recently, if I recall.

The Big Dog will be unleashed in October when it counts. Don't worry. If Kerry had him full time in 2004, it might have helped turn Ohio. Nobody can call bull like Bill (probably because he's done his share of bull, but you know, hey!).

Gore lost Gore the election. If he was so great he would have had won handily. It says something when half the country thinks George W. "Tex" Bush is as good if not better than you.

The same for Kerry.

Yeah - the Republicans played dirty. It's politics not a tea party. Sorry to say but the moral highground doesn't get you very far. Democrats have yet to learn that.

That being said, I hardly think lying about p------- a the help is "disgracing the office". Christ, Jefferson sired how many children by his slaves while he was in office?

Other than that, yeah - He better bloody his knuckles for Obama. I have a feeling Hillary's version of the health care plan is the pay off.

The country is really a 50-50 country as measured by those who actually vote. The country was getting tired after 8 years of the Clintons, but still Gore took the popular vote and more people who voted in Florida thought they were voting for Gore than thought they were voting for Bush. The butterfly ballot confused them.

And then as far as Kerry goes, we were in the middle of "war" and Bush/Cheney had the country scared to death what with the color coded threat level, duct tape, undisclosed locations, fear of shoe bombs. Country was reluctant to switch horses in the middle of a (war) stream. Then the "gay marriage" issue motivated the evangelicals to vote in Ohio. And then the effective "swift boating' Despite all of that it was really close -- came down to Ohio.

Frankly, Bill's a "disgrace to the Democratic Party," no matter what he does! As a Democrat who voted for him twice, I hate his guts! That picture of him, with his pointed finger, brings out all of the anger I had when he pulled his stunt on Obama, and I will NEVER feel good about him (or his abrasive wife) again!!! He can go on all of the TV programs he wants, and campaign for Obama till the cows come home. He did his damage, (and he gave us 8 years of Bush for the OTHER damage he did)! I don't like the guy now, and I NEVER WILL!!!!!!!

The 2008 Bill Clinton is not the Bill Clinton of old. I thought he'd gotten back to his old self when I saw the DemConv speech that he did, but that interview that he just did where he was talking about Palin was just painful to watch. It wasn't because he was saying nice things about Palin, some of which were true like her having a style that appeals to some people, but he was stammering and he looked really flushed. Looked like he was measuring his words really carefully and almost like he was unprepared. The Bill Clinton of old was NEVER unprepared to say anything, even if it might not be completely factual.

Maybe Stewart will make him feel a little more comfortable and he'll be his old self again. Even if he doesn't say anything about Obama, if Clinton's going to be effective for Democrats in the future, especially Hillary, he can't afford to cede his confidence and gregariousness.

Pronto, You have a LOT of nerve calling President Clinton self serving! Our country was never as well off as it was under his administration!! I saw him in person on Thursday on his global initiative for giving reception, and his foundation has given over 30 BILLION dollars to help impoverished people around the world, including those here in the USA! He is AWESOME, in my book! He did mention to vote for Obama as well, so SHUT the F UP, troll!

The thing is...repugs wanted Hillary so badly...remember Limbaugh's Operation Chaos campaign? They wanted her to win so that they could use "Bill" against her, which is kinda hard to do in this sucky economy... when he left there was a surplus. Anyway, they were sharpening their knives for her and I think the Clinton's know that there would have been some disclosure issues that would have hurt her. The truth is...America is barely wanting to support Obama...I cannot imagine that they wanted to support a woman that IS qualified. I truly believe that the Obama/Clinton ticket or Clinton/Obama ticket would have flamed worse than McSame and Mooseburger....

I am in the camp that believes that Palin will be effective in serving the purpose for which she was selected; to bedazzle the ticket and dazzle the electorate. As much as I might find her to be a farce, I know there are tons of people that will only hear three things-anti abortion, pro-gun, and god and vote for her on these simple ideals. I also believe that a majority of the same electorate, given a chance to view Obama's plan as a moral or values platform will abandon ship.

Bill is coming around to the idea that B.O. id th new head of the party, and if he thinks there is any future is Hillary's election in the future, he understands that the new voters Barack has brought to the plate will be as crucial as all the regular players, ie. women, moderates, independents, etc.

I went through "hate the Clinton's phase" and may not be completely out of it because i think he had something to do with the current political, social, and economic climates but I think he will do his best i for no other reaon but self-inerest.

I'm less worried about Palin now that her honeymoon period is over and Obama has regained the momentum in the polls. Palin solidified the wingnut base but, not surprisingly, she's alienating many swing voters:

the fact of the economic bailout we are facing $700billion, was triggered by the Glass-Steagell deregulated by Bill Clinton in 1999. (thank goodness for google)

Also look at Alan Greenspan in the fed rev. 1987 to 2006. Bill clinton should have fired that republican.

Bill Clinton is on The View and Larry King Live in addition to this Daily Show appearance - all next week. If his ultra-lukewarm-praise of Obama on ABC last week is any indication, we have reason to worry about these interviews.

It's a real shame that although most of us Dems stood by Clinton during his scandals, he won't stand up for us as Americans during this election. Very sad. How do we put public pressure on him to do what is right? Emailing the Clinton Foundation???

Some times even the most educated people do not keep it simple enough. Throwing a boomerang
with moose poop and not expecting it to return does not make any sense.

Not supporting Obama now will truly hurt Hillary's political future in the long run. The longer Palin has an opportunity to at least appear to have the ability to hold the office of VP, McCain get the win, she will have her resume more inflated. Mayor, governor and VP. Hillary, 1st lady to governor, 1st lady to the president and senator. If the republicans are saying she has more experience than Obama now, give the moose ki$$er a little more time.

He described John Edwards in positive terms, similar to how he described Palin, on Charlie Rose (before the Iowa primary, I think). Back then he did it because he was afraid of an Obama win. It looks like he still is. It didn't work then, and I don't think it will work now. One thing is for sure-- it is going to make him look really bad if he keeps this up. Can't he go on vacation or something until after November 4th?

He is the only two term president since FDR, and if he could have run, he would have won in a landslide. Unfortunately, in this time of economic crises, many of us would love to have Bill sleeping in the WH to give advice on how to steer us out of this perilous time. As the expression heard in the primary goes, in this time of extreme urgency, we need someone who can lead from day one. So the 0's response to me will be, get over it, the primaries are over. I know that, but I can't help but feel some anxiety about the future and remorse for the past.

I could if it was not true, but I do know your are right. Removing the banking regulation of Glass-Steagell, opened the back door to corruption, NAFTA AND CAFTA opened all the other doors to complete losing jobs that had quality products to keep American safe are gone.
It is about time American who need the B$LLs to stand up to bring jobs back in America, change that tax law that allows big business to receive tax credits to take jobs off shore. Look it up. To me that is call treason to America the tax law encourage business to leave this country.

I don't hear the grass=roots taking about that. How will we continue to be that dumb unless we have less educated folks than we know?

The republicans keep saying Soc. Sec will go broke. They can said it with certainty because the next free trade with Columbia will be more jobs lost. No jobs, no money going into social sec. fund.
they are saying Obama will have job lost. Bush and McCain have already signed off. That how they know jobs will be leaving.

I used to be a big Bill Clinton supporter - but I'm still disappointed in him at this point... I don't think going on the Daily show is gonna do it --he has the capability to hit the Republicans head on and he should be using his oratory skills MUCH more forcefully to win over the people in the South that have a natural affinity towards him... He should be hitting the swing states HARD!

How can he STILL be going around focusing his attention on Hilary's resume, praising Sarah Palin as a "natural", calling McCain an excellent man, & giving lukewarm support to Obama?? Even Repubs are coming out and saying McCain and Palin are clueless!! The Dems really need to SIT on him and say - you better get on board NOW or you AND Hilary will be blamed for the loss of this election, and the fallout will be far worse than it was for Nadar... I'm sure Bush/McCain are cynical enough that they don't really give a crap what their legacy is afterward, as long as they can continue to retain power. But I do believe that Bill and Hilary care about their legacy in history... And this is something that will tarnish it with RATIONAL people forever --particularly since it IS such a critical time in history and Repubs are completely running our country into the ground! Let go of the past, Bill! We're headed into a DEPRESSION! Do the right thing!

I hope Bill Clinton is able to put the sour grapes behind him for the good of this country. Obama is the Alpha Male now of the Democratic Party and it is appropriate to support him for ulitmately what you are supporting is the Democratic agenda...which is to take back the White House from those that recklessly sat for eight years of self inflicted horror on this country. This is not the time for pettiness or persoanl vendettas. Show us what you are made of Bill.
