Bill Clinton Appearing On The "Daily Show" Tuesday

Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear on the Daily Show next Tuesday. From the press release:

Former President Bill Clinton will make his fourth appearance as a guest on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart " to discuss the Clinton Global Initiative on Tuesday, September 23 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT). President Clinton previously appeared as a guest on the show on September 20, 2007, September 18, 2006 and August 9, 2004.

Wow! The opinionated Obama online shock troops - arrogantly smearing a former president widely known to this day as the best poltical mind in the country and who incidentally led the nation through eight years of a peace and prosperity. Bill and Hillary Clinton are also noted for fighting for equal rights for all people throughout their adult lives, but leave it to the Obama camp to label them as racists.

I can't for the life of me figure out why either Bill or Hillary give Obama and his minions the time of day.

They give Obama the time of day because Obama is NOW the leader of the Democratic Party and the Clintons are not. As for peace and prosperity, Bill Clinton signed much of the deregulation legislation that has led to the financial meltdown in today's economy. Ask the thousands of Iraqis who died as a result of his bombs and sanctions during his term about peace, and tell me exactly how Clinton's destructive policies were effective in Iraq. How did he manage to lose control of Congress within two years of his election? Though I blame the gops for the impeachment scam, he should have known they were gunning for him and practiced some self-control, as over a year of his Presidency was squandered in the absurd Lewinski incident.

Maybe before you start attacking him about not backing Obama, you should educate yourself on what the Clinton Global Initiative is. He isn't going to be stumping for his wife! I'm sure it will give him an opportunity to talk outside of this subject. Tony Blair recently got to plug his class at Harvard, which was his reason for being on the Daily Show, but he sure didn't get much time to talk about it. Instead he got to look uncomfortable while asked pertinent questions.

Yes the Tony Blair appearance was painful. As in car-crash, look-away, please-cha­nge-the-ch­annel painful. Blair came out walking on eggshells and squirmed when asked - in a polite way - "what the hell were you thinking?".

He seems a shell of a man. Dragged from dubious support for the inevitable Bush actions into full blown lapdog mode, now he hives away, burying his shame in the smothering cloak of religious conversion. It would be amusing if it were not so sad.

Right now his emphasis needs to be on McCain. She is getting enough exposure with troopergate and all the lies that she is being constantly held accountable for (i.e. bridge to nowhere, plane on ebay, etc...). I'm sure he'll get involved if need be but at this time direct confrontation is not a good idea. Discrediting McCain is the main focus. He'll get his chance during the debate...
