Keating5 is the sleeping dog in this election. For different reasons both campaigns are letting it to lie but the hindsights it is providing into the current crisis are just to large. The sleeping dog is now well awake and ready to charge. It will hurt.

The media knows reminding people of the Keating 5 will kill McCain's campaign. So they are giving him a pass in an attempt to make the race "fair" and to refrain from unduly handicapping. But the public needs to know about this. What if McCain wins, and dies in office (not wishing for this) with Palin assuming the Oval Office and causing national calamity? Will they review the Keating 5 issue THEN???? Why does the media only do it's job in hindsight? There's no "free press" in this country.
