And they'll do weeks of anguished news reports on how disaster could have been averted if people only knew about McCain's past. The Ad used a black guy and shortened the similar story line.

The McSame camp is trying to get ahead of this Keating-5 scandal before it blows out of proportion. So, they put out the ad in a racial toned way so people can compare and contrast the two cases.

One important thing voters would have to figure out, McSame's ad is completely false but the Keating-5 is historical documented fact - regardless race gets central role in voters mind.

Macane got his rep as a maverick because every couple of months or so, he would say something out of the norm. Then, we wouldn't heat anything from him. He was a little, cute guy with a bitter sense of humor. He got by with his sardonic wit because it was occasional. Now, with 24/7 scrutiny, it's easy to see that he wasn't a maverick at all. He's always been ignorant and out of touch. He says out of left field crap daily and delivers his talking points like the second lead in the Jr. High play. He's out of it, really. I guess that a POW would use tortured logic so I forgive him for that, even though he "confessed" to war atrocities while in capture. I am so sick of that disingenuous argument. The Keating 5 thing has not been brought out to date because of the tenor it would have placed on the Democratic side of the ticket. That was always their ace in the hole and they knew it. Now the Wall Street Deregulation crisis has hit and the time is right, I know of six, count them six Keating 5 ads created by the 527's which will key up starting Sunday or Monday. It was bound to come up, it was not ever a matter of if, but of when and why. The fact that Democrats were involved was NOT ever the reason.
