Palin And Mccain

Anchorage Daily News:

Gov. Sarah Palin has surrendered important gubernatorial duties to the Republican presidential campaign. McCain staff are handling public and press questions about actions she has taken as governor. The governor who said, "Hold me accountable," is hiding behind the hired guns of the McCain campaign to avoid accountability.

Is it too much to ask that Alaska's governor speak for herself, directly to Alaskans, about her actions as Alaska's governor?

"Folks in rural Alaska are mostly Democrats," as it turns out.

In a way the governance of the State of Alaska has been hijacked without the consent of the Alaskans.
Demmoncracy at work in Alaska ????????

Lobbyists / campaign workers of a presidential nominee, one who's not yet elected president , in some fashion, has the power to take over a state government. That's very scary.

Will McCain continue the Road and Bridge to Nowhere?

Another dot on the map that has natural resources that the republicans think they can control. We are with you Alaska if you still want us.

Edward O'Callaghan, 7 weeks ago resigned his position with the US Justice Dept as co-chief of the terrorism and national security unit of the U.S. attorney's office in New York to join the Mc Cain campaign. He is working with the Alaskan lawyer who is being paid by taxpayers to represent Palin. While our embassy was being bombed in Yemen, he was busy publicly smearing the name of Walt Monegan and condoning Todd Palin and Alaskan employees breaking the law by ignoring subpoenas. The justice department's co-chief of terrorism and national security based in NYC thinks its more important to help Sarah Palin obstruct justice than protect the US from terrorism?
Every proud Alaskan ought to appear on the steps of the Alaskan state house and demand that Gov. Palin stop hiding behind these operatives, tell the truth, obey the law and truly "put the government back on the side of the people". What a disgrace.

Mr. O'Callaghan, may you be in heaven and earth before the devil knows your dead.

Palin is the latest RNC/GOP stooge...she just doesn't know it yet. She's still practicing "The rain in Spain, falls gently in the plain." Rove is proud of her.

McSame took Caribou Barbie on as his VP in a last minute backroom deal to win the support of James Dobson and the rest of the self-proclaimed leaders of the religious right. She wasn't vetted because there wasn't time - he didn't know she was his choice until they told him the night before McSame tapped her as VP. In essence John McSame bet it all on what was behind door number two and now his campaign has gone into damage control mode trying to convince Americans (and perhaps themselves) that Sarah Palin really is the one he wanted all along. The only problem is this VP foisted upon him by the agents of intolerance is proving to be more of a liability than an asset, so McSame's people are doing their best to control everything this woman says or does in an effort to keep the electorate from figuring out who the real Sarah Palin is before the election.

I guess, then, what this administration has done is invaded yet another sovereign state (Alaska) for its oil.

So they have in essence taken over a sovereign state's government ?
My understanding is that since P@lin only won that position by 51% and a noticeable % of those citizens (the Republicans who THINK as opposed to those who just vote like sheep) are not happy with much of what she's done that a MAJORITY of Al@sk@ns, reputed to be rugged individuals, would be thoroughly pi$$ed off !!!
Since we just saw this today, I can only assume, as the Bush and now obviously McC does things, it was done in the wee hours of Sunday morning when they assumed no one would notice for a day or two until the deed was done.
Eyes open people.

This is a frightening preview to the way McCain would run the white house. I don't see anything open or honest about how they are running his campaign. We should all be afraid if he gains control of the office of the Presidency. Tin soldiers and Nixon coming...

just shows she is ready for primetime - neocon style

I wonder how the people of Alaska feel about McCain/Palin shinning a spotlight on their way of life. #1 state in roads to nowhere...... #1 state in "pork" per capita......and #1 state in reported forced rapes. Now those are the kind of "accomplishments" Alaskans can be proud of.

So is there a transition team to hand Alaska back to Sarah if she loses. Or will the Republicans in Alaska refuse to take her back. Will she will have to beg Fox News for an anchor(age)desk where she and Todd can host Fox and Friends, Northern Exposure version

Smile, that sounds just about right!

ANd then Fox-noise will fire Palin after a few months on the Job, for showing so much leg, and more then likely having a affair with Bill O'Reilly......
