Bounds Gramm

For those of you who have developed a fondness for Tucker Bounds-themed bondage and domination videos, here's another YouTube where David Shuster chortles his way through a segment in which Bounds cannot or will not bring himself to assure the American people that Phil Gramm - who recently called America a "nation of whiners" but who led the effort for the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act that paved the way for the economic collapses of today - will not, under any circumstances, become Secretary of the Treasury in the McCain administration. If Bounds keeps at these sorts of "explanations," the world's supply of false equivalencies may run out by the first week of October.

Joe Isuzu + Beavis = Tucker Bounds

Tucker "my lies know no" Bounds is, by far, the most repulsive creature I have ever seen in presidential politics; however, Carly was not too far off Tucker’s mark.

I am utterly amazed by McCain's disingenuous cast of surrogates. His crew of cronies is so startlingly, transparently foul that, observing them, I am forced to reassess my belief in the correctness of philosophical naturalism; perhaps there IS a devil, and these beasts are his spawn.

And why should he rule it out? McCain really, truly believes that if he could just ride the current storm and get back to the true faith of deregulation, everything will be sorted out naturally.

Naturally means we get to perform a mass living history of the Guilded Age.

I remember Phil Gramm and Newt Gingrich co-writing a bill, H.R. 4079, in 1990 that established concentration camps for drug users/dealers and political dissenters along with exemptions for cruel and unusual punishment, torture and slave labor. It never passed but pieces have been absorbed into The Patriot Act and other executive orders and F.E.M.A legislation. It was truly draconian and reminded of how close we are to all out fascism at any moment. Very scary stuff. He never went away just like the Iran/Contra gang never did and he seems to be the one pulling McCain's strings now. I wonder what kind of salacious photos they have of McCain compromising himself to get him to get in line so abruptly. Good work David Shuster...you are a model journalist.

i think scarier than having Gramm as the secretary of treasury is the thought of having tucker in any position in the administration. that man is freaky. i still haven't figured out what he brings to the table other than a few laughs now and then.

I thought federal law prohibited a campaign from using a spokesman who has not completed puberty.

Tucker should be in the media as much as he can - he is a fine example of McCain stupidity. Who ever hired this guy? The same team who picked Palin.

Tucker just likes the face time. All he had to say was that he didn't expect to see Graham on the cabinet. It doesn't even have to be true. And the issue would be over. His blather about O didn't score any points.

So I'm watching this college-Republicans-reject flowergirl wriggling pathetically on Shuster's hook, and it suddenly dawns on me... it's DANA CARVEY! Great work Dana! One of your funniest bits to date... but the amateur hair and eyebrows give you away.
