St. Petersburg Times:

Five weeks ago, the St. Petersburg Times convened a group of Tampa Bay voters who were undecided about the presidential election. Their strong distrust of Barack Obama suggested it was a group ripe for John McCain to win over.

Not anymore. The group has swung dramatically, if unenthusiastically, toward Democrat Obama. Most of them this week cited the same reason: Sarah Palin.

Just to make clear, as far as this 60,000 Florida crowd for Palin thing is concerned.
Florida is the state that elected Katherine Harris twice!, one of the greediest and fraudulent states in the Union as far as the Mortgage mess we are in is concerned, and Florida was the reason Bush won the Presidency in 2000. I don't trust Florida. Blame Florida!!

and just so we are clear, it is obvious the mcpalin camp is trying to minimize the huge turnout oba ma had in jax yesterday. just in case you missed this post earlier:

Still, McCain - who the latest Quinnipiac Poll said leads Obama by 7 percentage points in Florida - vowed to win the state's 27 electoral votes, saying Jacksonville will serve a critical role. ----------------------------

Never mind that some Democratic bloggers began typing their chuckles within minutes of learning attendance was somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000. Local Republicans expected many more, enough that they moved the event to Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, which appeared less than half full when McCain took the stage.

------------------------------

The Obama campaign just sent over the numbers supplied to them by the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department and the Sheriff"s Office. The are confirming the 20,000 estimate, which includes at least 12,000 inside the park and 6,000 to 8,000 outside.

Estimates ranged from 25,000 to 60,000 though the numbers were impossible to verify.

The outdoor rally took place at the Lake Sumter Landing Market Square. More than 17,000 tickets had been handed out for the event and an estimated 25,000 people attended.

DBoyRodriguez says "Down with the Baby Ki-lle-rs! Go McCain Palin !!!"

Tell that to the pregnant mom that was ki-lle-d in an unjustified w-a-r that she wanted no part of.

The hypocrisy drips bl-oo-d red from people like you. You just need to sh-ut up, plain and simple.

I'll never understand how these people will fight to save a fetus in Atlanta but cheer when our bombs take out a Taliban newborn in Afghanistan, or a criminal on death row. They claim abortion is a sin, but rationalize it's fine if it's someone they want to kill.

They say they're acting as Christ.ians, but none of them can ever produce the Gospel where Chr.ist says, go ahead and kill these, but not those. They conveniently ignore the teachings of their religion every time they go to war.

Hypocrites.

Biden isn't running for President and he even admitted his mistake --- stop being ignorant. There is only one candidate in this race who announced publicly that the war in Iraq was a fraud and farce, and we know that is Obama. Thanks for coming to play -- there are some nice parting gifts waiting for you.
