I've been watching SNL since the Belushi/Ch­ase/Akroyd years. I quit watching some 3 years ago because I thought it wasn't up to par.

One thing the new SNL is doing that is right is keeping the sketches short and sweet. Back in the days around 1985 after Eddie Murphy left, the show went to absolute cr@p. Mostly because of run-on sketches and badly produced comedy.

This new SNL looks like it's on to something. Too bad Amy Poehler is leaving, though. She's hilarious.

Maybe it's just cause I'm an English major, but the alternate ending Of Mice and Men had me laughing out loud, like wheezing, pain in my side laughing. "You've got to TELL me these things!" That new featured guy (I'll learn his name eventually) can hold his own with the rest of the cast, even though this was only his second show.

The next funniest point was during the Update segment, when the guy was sexually harassing BOTH anchors. When Amy FINALLY said, "Hey!...St­op that...Get outta here," and then smiled guiltily, I had to laugh...

why do celebs even do this horrible horrible show anymore. SNL just stop or become a half an hour show. Naw, just stop.

I luv James Franco though. He was great in Pineapple Express and his home clips w/his brother and mother on Utube. He should have been spiderman and not that bug eyed midget. He's hot and can act. Luv it when he cries - lol.

DON'T WATCH!
There are more than enough people who DO like the show, that it remains on air, in its 90 minute format.

There are certainly more than enough other TV channels for you to occupy your time. Why continue to whine and complain about the show? GO WATCH SOMETHING ELSE, READ A BOOK, or GO TO BED.

I never watched Friends during its ENTIRE RUN (nor now, in syndication).
How STUPID it would be to continue whining about how I personally don't like it...

I'd suggest you grow up, but most of you rabid SNL whiners are most likely either approaching, or have passed Middle Age...
