I Like ItI Don’t Like It

John McCain keeps on outdoing himself with his lies. Now he's trying to make the totally false case that Barack Obama doesn't have a plan for the economic crisis. "Senator Obama," he says, "has still not offered any plan of any kind."

As CNN's Tom Foreman reports:

No plan from Obama? No way. To the contrary, Senator Obama has talked at length about reforming Wall Street, getting CEO pay packages under control, instituting new regulations to protect homeowners. In short, what everybody wants: stabilizing the economy.

Foreman also added that McCain has "been notably short on details on how he would handle this crisis."

Here's video:

Thanks to CNN's Tom Foreman. Too little truth/fact checking in the "news" media. They flash the incendiary McCain ads up, giving him gratis flacking lying, and just yak about what he's been saying. Do you see them giving Obama equal ad-showing yak time ?

If he can't make a case for the presidency or clearly lay out a plan for what to do, that doesn't involve distorting or lying...he doesn't deserve it.

McCain has to say something or he becomes old news fast. So, he runs out an attack, saying that Obama have no plan. It doesn't matter that Obama has a stated plan or that McCain really doesn't have one. Heck, McCain wasn't sure there was a problem until the market has dropped 500 points so if he can get everyone looking at Obama then he can dash together a plan.

I swear McCain is going to give George Will a Migraine the size of Texas by November.

When Russia attacked Georgia, Obama first sat pretty then came up with 3 iterations in one week! This is what happens when you are entire career is marked with "present" or with instances of running away from crucial votes

Same inaction in this financial crisis

Isn't it interesting that experts in foreign affairs are now saying that Georgia provoked this attack and while Russia's response was extreme, the Georgian's aren't faultless. Senator Obama, who has the intelligence to study a situation before running off at the mouth, did not make the U.S. look incredibly foolish by saying "we're all Georgians now" before he had all the facts.
I, for one, would like to have someone intelligent in the White House for a change.

I think that is because McCain knew the Georgia attack was coming...since one of his campaign managers is a lobbyist for Georgia (the country - not the state). Within minutes he was claiming that "Today We Americans are ALL Georgians!!!" The president of Georgia was saying "nice words (McCain), but where is the action?" - as if McCain could or would launch an air attack on Russia in Georgia's defense. McCain really had no clue that Russia would come back and hammer Georgia like they did... poor judgment.

Barack Obama presents clear, well thought out plans to all the issues concerning this country. The fact that some choose not to listen and even lie and pretend that he has no plan, is a major reason why we are in the shape we are in right now. Those who voted for Bush twice and are now getting ready to vote for McCain, cannot or will not admit what a mistake they made and will compound it by voting for more of the same.

Of course McCain responded quickly. Staff members lobby for the nation of Georgia. Obama's reaction was more measured.

Senator McCain has run away from votes on veterans' issues because he doesn't want to reveal how little he supports veterans or how much he opposes supporting them. On these issues, he just doesn't show up.

You've heard before, but I'll repeat it: the John McCain of 2000 would not vote for the John McCain of 2008.

Ummm, Obama has 6 point plan, McCain's camp says it's not imperative to put anything down on paper. Do they not realize all their lying is only donig them good with people who already worship at the GOP shrine.

The undecideds and the independents are looking closely at both candidates to see who they feel would make a better president. Obama has remained calm, reserved judgement until details are out, he's put his plan in detailed writing for anyone to read, he takes questions from the press even though he sometimes messes up, and for the most part stick to the truth (though occaisonally stretching it). McCain's been making wild accusations, lying his pants off, pandering, flip flopping, and hiding from unscripted interviews.

In short McCain's increasingly unhinged behavior is not winning him any points with the voting bloc that will decide the election.

Of course WcCain's plan is short on details. His own campaign said that having a plan actually written down in detail isn't necessary so long as a POW is getting all "mavericky" and "leadershipy" on the economy....

I think McBush's campaign said it was NOT about issues but personality. Could be because McBush has no policies other than his twin, big brother Bush. I don't understand why these republican idiots are falling for McBus's crap though. Are they delusional, thinking America is in great shape like McBush said "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" on Monday, or just downright stupid and/or dumbed down over the years?

It didn't stop one CNN anchor to announce that Obama (in his opinion) didn't have a plan this morning around 6:00 am.

It's getting old to watch CNN and other MSM stations report their views and opinions.

Giving the boot now to Lieberman, in my opinion, is a great moral booster for the Democrates, and an efficient attempt to convince some reluctant independents that the Democrates must win both Congress and the Presidency.
Please, please, DUMP LIERBERMAN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't dump him yet, or Dems lose chairmanship of many committees - they need him FOR NOW to maintain majority. They can dump him after elections, when Dems take congress back for real.

I am shocked, and somewhat thrilled, that the mainstream media is actually calling out a politician for bold faced lying. Too bad they failed to do this during Bush's tenure. But hey, better late than never.

John McCain and the Republican Party are so accustomed to being accepted at face value by their devoted followers, they really can say and do just about anything and get away with it. Our country is pretty much doomed, if America does finally wake-up to the incompetence and dishonesty of the Republican Machine. Those who consider themselves to be intelligent need to start to understand that it is OK to question McCain and demand proof when he makes these un-american claims. It is also OK to vote for a Democrat. We are decent, honorable, hard working, family loving, country serving, patriotic Americans and we respect the differences that make our country what it is.

How many times does McCain have to put his foot in his mouth and show the American people his incompetence before they realize? This shouldn't be a close race. Not by any standards. I am still optimistic that the polls are wrong, and that Obama is ahead by a larger margin. But at the same time, as each day passes, I become increasingly more depressed of such a large part of this nation with their eyes closed.

I agree with you. That's exactly how I feel. I can't for the life of me see how anyone who has even a tiny brain cannot see McCain for what he is. He's all bluster and no substance. And that's being nice. I've watched elections in the past with concern, but I've never had a stronger feeling that a McCain win would just be a total disaster for this country. It, frankly, scares the hell out of me. I do feel that Obama will win, but I wish it was more straightforward than it is now, and seems like it should be.

Exactly! I have a friend (not a close friend) that I have known for maybe 15 years drop by last week. He has a respected job with the city and seems to be computer literate and enjoys his high speed internet.

I started a conversation about the election and asked him who he's going to vote for. MUCH to my surprise, he immediately said McCain because he didn't want a Black guy in the White House (we're both white). I will never forget how my opinion of him changed that moment. Not only is he a racist for no reason I can think of, HE HAD NOT EVEN TAKEN SOME OF HIS "ONLINE" TIME TO GET THE FACTS! And to think that there are MORE like him in America scares and saddens me.

This is OUR Time - This is OUR Moment.
