CNN Calls Out McCain Lie: Obama Does Have A Plan For Financial Crisis

John McCain keeps on outdoing himself with his lies. Now he's trying to make the totally false case that Barack Obama doesn't have a plan for the economic crisis. "Senator Obama," he says, "has still not offered any plan of any kind."

As CNN's Tom Foreman reports:

No plan from Obama? No way. To the contrary, Senator Obama has talked at length about reforming Wall Street, getting CEO pay packages under control, instituting new regulations to protect homeowners. In short, what everybody wants: stabilizing the economy.

Foreman also added that McCain has "been notably short on details on how he would handle this crisis."

I expect John McCain to pounce with some specifics on economic plans (even though the debate is supposed to be about foreign policy) on Friday. He'll have maximum impact with them then since all will be watching. I'm equally sure Senator Obama will be ready for that.

you are right Obama has put his plan out there I have heard him in several speeches both on the TV and in stories on the computer. Doesn't McCain listen to the speeches, or does he forget them, as he forgets other countries presidents and which country lays next to which country. He has taken his marbles out to play with them and lost some before putting them back. As for Pilan she just needs to keep her mouth shut, she lies along with McCain. The republicans are now paying for her lawyors and trying to get her case post postponed till after the election. Putting it to a panel of three people who she put there. big deal if innocent she would have wanted it heard in the courts. It isn't just over troopergate but other things she has done. He attacks Obama for not having a plan, so he says, but doesn't offer his own plan. Was he not the one who said: the fundamentals of our economy are strong? Was he not the one who said this? All last week he was changing his message and his talking points when people called him out on his BS and now he's acting like all along he has been saying the right things. All he's done was take Obama's ideas and make them his own. CEO pay is one example. Obama has been talking about that since January of last year.

It's pretty funny when the MSM's darling gets so bad even the MSM has to start calling him on it, with the inevitable result that the darling cries foul, "media bias!" McCain talks about bipartisanship, yet his consultations on the crisis last week were with fossils from the Reagan administration, Stanford University professor John Taylor and Peter Wallison, a former Treasury official now at the American Enterprise Institute. I suppose he wanted talking points on trickle down economics. The best McCain could then come up with to suggest that the Chairman of SEC resign, and this piece of stupidity, "In my administration if I want someone to resign, it will happen". Great, you have a reputation for going off half-baked, and now you want to assure us that when you fire your shots they will stick. You'll be a worse disaster than Bush II.

Obama consulted Henry Paulson, Ben Bernacke, Paul Volker and former Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady among others to get unfiltered input from both supply side and those in favor of a more regulated economy.

I think that is his actual strategy. Tell so many lies, that it is nearly impossible to keep track. There isn't enough time in a news program to both debunk all of McCain's lies and report other news. The media catches 2 or 3 while 25 others go unchecked.

I heard their lies on TV and if I didn't hear Oabama's plan and his tax plan I would have believed McCain and his soulmate's lies. Yet, if Obama let these lies spread among people, already not lean to him, to talk among themselves and make decision, Obama is toast in those swing states. Despite the close polls, I am afraid that those people lied to the pollsters just like New Hampshire's primary: Obama was ahead big in polls but lost to Hillary.

You have to drop that line about how you respect John McCain as true patriot and war hero... when he's just gonna pivot and punch with lies and half-truths.

The only reason that Obama didn't hit Hillary personally during the primaries and is not hitting McCain, SO FAR, personally now is that he actually meant it when he said he was going to run a clean campaign.
