Jamie Lynn Spears' Breast-Feeding Photos Trigger Criminal Probe

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ federal and local authorities are on the hunt for someone peddling 12 pics of Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn, daughter Maddie and baby daddy Casey Aldridge. One of the pictures shows Jamie Lynn breast feeding Maddie -- Jamie Lynn's left breast is exposed.

The pics were taken on Casey's digital camera. We're told he took the camera card to his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana for copies. Law enforcement believes someone at the Wal-Mart may have made extra copies, then tried selling them.

Because Jamie Lynn is a minor, selling the pics -- or buying them -- could constitute a violation of federal laws prohibiting pornography. Peddling pictures of a minor's breast -- even if not taken for sexual purposes -- could land the seller and the buyer in federal prison if they are marketed across state lines for the purpose of being lurid. Also, anyone purchasing the pics could be prosecuted for the crime of receiving stolen property.

This is all very sordid and grotesque in the fact that someone would try to make money from a photo of a mother feeding her child. When are people going to get over the breast feeding obsession? My son was a preemie and breast feeding saved his life quite literally. Babies want to be fed when they want to be fed, and women need to feel comfortable that they can do this without becoming a spectacle. Grow up.

Whoever stole them should be punished of course, but is Casey stupid or dumb and stupid? With all the ways to self-process photo;s these days right in your home, and since they can afford what's required to do this, AND since they have to know the rags are out there laying in wait for a moment like this, you'd think someone would have clued him/them in on this. Gee whiz, if this isn't proof money only makes you richer not smarter.

OK, so if this is considered child porn, would Casey, who took the picture (and knocked her up in the first place, but that's another story) also be prosecuted for creating child porn?

that's pretty disgusting! where are the lines drawn as it relates to privacy and the invasion thereof of the paparazzi and those contributing to their crimes?

using the same statute and case law, criminally, couldnt casey aldridge be prosecuted for statutory rape? he was 18 and jamie 16 when he impregnated her.

Being so incredibly high profile for the tabloids, you'd think that they would invest in a printer at home that will enable them to take personal pictures without having to worry about unauthorized copies. I would never have my personal shots - especially of THAT nature, printed elsewhere. Heck, there are even self-service photo printing machines at their local Wal-Mart! That doesn't excuse whomever decided this was a good idea, but I'm surprised that the Spears clan didn't know better!
