Palin Fundraises Off 'Democrats Attacks' On Family

The McCain camp has just blasted out to its list a fundraising email by Sarah Palin claiming that Obama-Biden Democrats are waging frequent attacks on her family. From the email:

Friends, in the course of a few weeks, the Obama-Biden Democrats have launched attack after attack on me, my family and John McCain. They're desperate to win and they'll no doubt launch these attacks against other reformers on our ticket.

I didn't remember any attacks on Palin's family from Obama, Biden, or their top supporters. So I asked the McCain campaign what this was a reference to.

Raising money by exposing the vile attacks on Palin's family is a good strategy, as the average decent American finds such despicable. Hmmm...I think I'll send some more money myself!

In fact, the "average decent american" gives Palin the lowest rating of the four candidates.

But there's no question that playing the victim card goes over big with the hardcore right wing base. They are probably also the only ones that would buy the idea that Obama/Biden are the ones making these "vile attacks".

And just who are these supposed "surrogates"? Pray tell. Because only one person of the only three people who said anything can be considered a "surrogate­." Andrew Sullivan is a well-known Republican and hitherto has always supported Republican positions and talking points. It's not Sen. O's fault that Sullivan is driven to comment critically on the Paiin Mc Cain't ticket. Markos Moulitsas may support Democrats but by no stretch of the imagination can he be considered Sen. O's surrogate. He is self-employed and does not take anything from the Senator. As for the diaries on DailyKos, they are the responsibility of the more than 200,000 commenters and diarists there.

Feel free to make accusations, but please, try to ensure that they have SOME contact with reality. That's not too much to ask.

No, she didn't get that many people. That was McHoover campaign spin as reported by Fox News. They cited the fire chief as their source for that information. The fire department doesn't assess the crowd size, the police do. We all learned that about a month ago when they tried the same thing.

It would be really difficult to say if one likes this woman. She has not had any unscripted moments by which to judge her by.
If all we are to know about her are talking points and a few well placed jabs, then dont blame us for not liking what we see.
Maybe its not the real deal, but thats all we have.

Answer real questions like all the other candidates.
What I do see is this behavior is a insult to intelligent women everywhere. She has to be hidden away lest she ...does what? Who knows?
