Contessa Brewer Wins Latest Round Of "Stump Tucker Bounds"

Another day, another opportunity for a teevee news anchor to play, and subsequently win, a round of Stump Tucker Bounds! Today it's MSNBC's Contessa Brewer's turn. She asks Bounds how McCain will pay for the Paulson bailout and the Iraq War without raising taxes. Bounds deflects the question by saying that a better question is to ask Barack Obama how he will pay for government spending to turn all Americans into elitists, but Brewer isn't having any of it, telling Bounds, "I actually thought my question was pretty good!" That leads Bounds to recite a bunch of platitudes that just don't sound as nice without Sarah Palin's Alaska dialect. Why hasn't Tucker Bounds learned from Steve Schmidt that the correct answer to all questions is "YOU ARE IN THE TANK! TANKITY TANK McTANK!"

I think they should ban the name Tucker. I have never been able to follow Tucker Carlson's argument because he is never consistent. And Tucker Bounds is like a cartoon of a political hack--I don't know if he is not capable or if he just doesn't try. Every time I see him interviewed he undermines McCain. Do you think he might be an undercover agent for Obama?

This Tucker Bounds guy certainly isn't the brightest bulb in the pack. He's living proof that the GOP has rounded up all the dumb a$$es they can to send out and proclaim the greatness of John McCain and Sarah Palin. I'm glad to see that they aren't getting a free pass with all their lies, and that the water is evaporating under the swift-boats. McCain sailed by for months during the Democratic primary. It's about time someone questions his abilities to judge and lead.

There has to be a Taliban style school where all these fools learn to recite the talking points regardless of what is asked them. He is probably at the top of his class. These are the "new young turks" of the neocon party.

I have written to all the stations i can find suggesting that they get cut off buttons- BS buttons, to use when the spin starts. Or run a subtitle over them saying something like "he's not answering the question" or "here comes the spin." Each host should warn their guests that they will be cut off if they don't answer the question or start to spin. It could be a really fun thing to watch and would probably raise their ratings.
