FOX News Producer: Restrictions On Palin Access "Unprecedented"

Is John McCain losing some of his friends at FOX?

FOX News Producer Shushannah Walshe just lashed out at the McCain campaign for denying access to reporters who wanted to witness Sarah Palin's U.N. photo ops earlier today. Walshe said the McCain campaign's restrictions on press coverage were "just unprecedented."

"There's not once chance that Governor Palin would have to answer a question. ... They're eliminating even the chance of any kind of interaction with the candidate -- it's just unprecedented."

Walshe noted that the McCain campaign eventually did relent and allow a reporter in the same room as Palin -- but only for just 29 seconds.

Considering that Mr. Hannitty should have been paid for producing a Palin infomercial that pretended to be an interview, Fox hasn't exactly made the best use of the limited time that Governor Palin was made available to the press. Why would you send an attorney to dig up dirt on Palin. I think the Democrats have better ways to spend their money. If I wanted to dig up dirt, I'd send investigators. The issue is not whether the trooper should or should not have been fired. The issue is who had the right to do it. Under Alaskan law, it was not the governor.

The McCain camp certainly thinks that voters are dumb. They put Palin to meet a couple of foreign leaders for a courtesy call (i.e. exchange of trivial pleasantries) and some tea so that she can claim foreign policy readiness.

The Palin meetings are but a sham. She could have met Kissinger (a Republican) anywhere, anytime. Then she meets a couple of foreign leaders (as opposed to international leaders) like Karzai, who are so dependent on the U.S. government, that they have no choice but to agree, lest they upset the current Republican Misadministration.

Well, following the McCain campaign's logic, I now know I can have a career change. Since I attended my child's birth, helped cut the umbilical cord and clean my newborn, I will start offering my services as a gynecologist and obstetrician.
