Lindsay Lohan Confirms: I've Been Dating Sam "A Long Time"

LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Lohan has confirmed what the world has guessed: She's been dating Samantha Ronson "a very long time."

The 22-year-old actress casually told the co-host of the syndicated radio program "Loveline" on Monday that she's been dating the 31-year-old DJ. The pair have appeared in public and been photographed together but have never publicly commented about the extent of their relationship.

"You guys, you and Samantha, have been going out for how long now?" DJ Ted Stryker asked. "Like two years, one year, five months, two months?"

"For a very long time," Lohan said after laughing.

Stryker interviewed Ronson while she took a break from DJing at TV Guide's Emmy afterparty Monday night in Los Angeles. Ronson had been discussing her friendship with DJ AM and Travis Barker, who are recovering from severe burns following a plane crash in South Carolina last weekend, before putting Lohan on the phone.

Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, told The Associated Press on Monday that Lohan is not engaged to be married.

America needs to bring the shock factor back. If a 14 year old girl is pregnant, it is not a reason to throw a party the age of consent has not been reached and society will judge. Your kid tattoos his/her body beyond belief society will judge. Body pierce your face society will judge. A felon is released on to society depending on the crime where he/she can live and work is judged. If you are on welfare for an extended period of time society will judge. Your son wants to marry his boyfriend this not a happy occasion. Until recently it was illegal. Society will judge still.

More things that society judges to be aberrant, wrong, illegal or just plain bizarre, less people will go down that path. Society is kept in check. Peer pressure can be good.

Well, the last 40 years do say rather a lot...

And with the increase of crime, children with one parent, lack of basic freedoms, self-respect, the idea of "respect for others", NYC having 25% of its population running around with herpes (so it'll probably be 50% within 2 years thanks to yon lack of norms...), states granting laws for parents to dump their children - at any age, and so on, all sorts of norms are being outdated and for all the wrong reasons.

People need to step back and think. Even I need to do that. But at least I'll admit as much and take a second look at things.

And I won't deny other countries have their own laws. We have it quite good over here. Let's not get so antisocial that somebody has to clamp down.

It appears that since Lindsay started seeing Sam, her life has quieted down, her behavior has stabilized, and she hasn't had any DUI's or wrecked Mercedes. She's happy and Sam is keeping her out of trouble. More power to her.
