To have a better understanding of what caused the financial crisis and how we can remedy it please read a post titled "Why is the United States undergoing a political and Financial Crisis?" and watch the third video down labeled "The Money Masters" at:

This is the Bill Clinton we loved...

The man's a genius. Anytime he talks policy, he has me nodding in agreement. The fact is Bill Clinton never gets nasty about anyone. He's very similar to Obama in that sense. The fact that he probably still thinks Hillary is more qualified that Obama takes nothing away from the fact that he clearly believes Obama is a mile better for America than McCain in terms of the economy, peace and security.

I just got done watching the Bill Clinton Daily Show interview and all I have to say is: Yeah, take that.

All of the extreme Obama supporters who have nothing to do but question Bill Clinton about his support for Obama have NOTHING left to say. Nothing. I'm sorry, but if you watch the second segment of the interview and still have the gall to question Clinton, then you just enjoy hating on Clinton and there's no real way to satisfy you anyway.

Bill Clinton said it all, he said it clearly, and he said it on a show that should reach enough of you wingnuts to finally get you to be quiet already. And he pointed out the truth, that this hateful pro-Obama militancy is actually hurting Obama in the general election. Time to grow up, kids, and start using your adult voices for a while.

And I really enjoy how Jon Stewart pointed out how idiotic and pointless this endless criticism of Clinton has been and the ridiculous lengths to which he must apparently have to go to make you understand. But then again, some of you could see Bill Clinton with "Barack Obama" tattooed on his forehead and still say something like "This is all just prepping Hillary for 2012, I can tell."

You know exactly why Clinton came under fire. So don't give me that "extreme Obama supporter" crap.

Bill Kristol's Weekly Standard,

"His talking points seem to be about the general admirability of John McCain and the political gifts of Sarah Palin, and he's not veering. Welcome to the team, Bill!"

NYT.
"Former President Bill Clinton on Monday praised Senator Barack Obama's energy policy at the opening of the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas.

But Mr. Clinton also lauded Mr. Obama's rival, Senator John McCain, and said that either candidate would be progressive on the issue of climate change."

OMG. Do you all realize that every time you bash Bill or Hillary you are just making things harder for Obama? You all are political neanderthals. Bashing centrist Clinton Democrats like myself is no way to endear Obama to independents. And you wonder where the elitist label comes from?

Oh. And Bill is the only successful Democratic president we've had since JFk. Give him the respect he deserves.

And Obama is only up in the polls because of the economy. if this crisis hadn't reared it's ugly head...we'd still be obsessed with President Palin. And let's not mention that if Hillary were in the race...she'd be up by at least twice the margin Obama is running.

3rdandBrown was probably a hillary supporter like me but once hillary lost turned her support to obama. i have been canvassing, phone banking and donating $$ to his campaign, working hard to elect this good man. i have seen, read every interview bill has given since hillary conceded and i presume you saw their eloquent and enthusiastic convention speeches in support of obama. bill is a former president. he cannot be expected to shill for a candidate by trash-talking the opponent. he overstepped it in the primary (understandably i suppose as that was his wife he campaigned for) and americans rejected it as unseemly. if you know anything about clinton, you know he has almost always taken the tactic of speaking in good terms of his opponents but noting they have differing views, that his views would better favor the american people. that is one of the reasons, his ability to show respect for the other side, that the american people have always held him in general high regard. he has done the same thing for obama since the convention. in fact, we saw obama during the debate treat mccain with respect yet doggedly point out their differences. guess what? americans responded overwhelmingly positively to obama's grace over mccain's nastiness. i betcha bill and obama agree that is the best role for a former president to take on obama's behalf. how about taking a page from bill and obama and lets have less bite and hate from you, honeydiva?

The resolution says Lieberman's actions are "extraordinary disloyalty to countless Connecticut Democrats without whom his career as an elected official would never have been possible" and calls on state Democrats to ask him to resign from the party.

Blondin said Lieberman's speech at the Republican National Convention, in which he praised McCain and criticized Democrat Barack Obama, convinced her that state Democrats needed to take a stand.

"Our point is not that Joe should in some way be prohibited from supporting McCain or speaking at the National Republican Convention. That's not the issue," Blondin said. "The issue is, he's a Democrat. And Joe, in our opinion, needs to reconsider membership in our party."

ABC, "But McCain, who Mr. Clinton said is a "moderate", "has given about all you can give for this country without dyin' for it."

"He said McCain was on the right side of issues like being against torture of enemy combatants and global warming, which "just about crosses the bridge for them (Republicans).
The praise from Clinton comes as McCain, with the Republican nomination locked up and trying to rebrand his Maverick label, has tried to distance himself from President Bush, most notably on foreign policy. In a speech this week McCain talked about the need for more diplomacy."

i just read elsewhere that mcain is addressing the clinton global intiative tomorrow... what an a**hole clinton is! jeez-louise... does anyone else not think ithis is an outrage? also, if mcain is suspending his campain becasue of the economic crisis, why is he still going to support his new best friend's 'initiative"? there is a tragic irony in clinton holding a conference on having people take responsibility... he wouldn;t know repsonsibility if it slappe dhim in the face... or purred on his lap...

Um, Obama is addressing the initiative also. Because it is a non-partisan initiative.

Do you know what "non-partisan" means?

Hillary can kiss the 2012 nomination good bye. Her opponents (if there is such a primary) will point to the sabotage of the Obama Candidacy by her husband and remind every Obama supporter why not to chose her.

I thought BIll Clinton was a bigger man then that..IMO he's showing very little support for (Obama), the Democratic Nominee. That's SAD!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:08 PM on 09/24/2008

SAD? YES!......But Bonnie & Clyde don't really care a this point in the election & will fake a little support for Obama's campaign in late October! And also like previous replies & comments to the Brilliant Huffington Post they will be held accountable and discovered for who they Really are!

Bill always makes so much sense in an interview. And I loved his speech in Denver. But there's no accounting for some of his remarks and actions during this election season.

Unfortunately there is. He is clearly aiming at 2012. If Obama loses his wife will have a shot next time. It isn't sad, it's despicable.

Bill's acting like reaching out and not being divisive was his idea because he finally came around in Denver.

Again, he's damning Obama with faint praise and not nearly owning up to all that Obama has done.

Sorry, Jon. Not enough. Not nearly enough.

Jon never goes for the jugular with his guests. He didn't even with Doug Feith. He just ribbed Bill a little, not directly but enough that Bill jumped to defend himself.

Larry King Live should be interesting.

Obama needs the Clintons and not the other way around. Obama will loose without the blue dog democrats, all those working class folks who stick to their guns and bibles, if the Clintons dont convince them to vote for Obama..
