John McCain's Keating Five Problem In 97 Seconds (VIDEO)

Here's a new video taking a look at John McCain's Keating Five problem in just 97 seconds.

The video combines archival footage of CBS and NBC News (including a report from Andrea Mitchell!) with reporting by CNN's John King aired just last month.

The bottom-line is that two decades after his role in the savings and loan crisis, John McCain is still the same old guy, more focused on deregulation than on delivering the sensible protections we need.

I've been reading up on the Keating 5 scandal and admit I didn't know much about it until just recently, I find that what this scandal represents in John McCain is someone who DOESN'T care about America and that his interests were always first and WILL ALWAYS be first. What's really sad is that he is telling us now that our "country comes first." "Main Street before Wall Street." Then he picks a running mate, who frankly, scares the bejeebers out of me. Let me gag on a spoon for a minute or two.

Family: abandoned his first wife to marry "beer heiress" with financial and political connections.

Senate: used influence in congress to pedal projects for lobbyists and cronies.

Presidential campaign: scurrilous, false, and evasive maneuvering UNPRECEDENTED in the history of modern US elections.

The problem for John McCain is not that he is the more EXPERIENCED candidate, it that...

HIS EXPERIENCES REFLECT HIS CHARACTER.

This needs to be an add.......­same old same old. Mcsame is saying and doing ANYTHING to win. I hope that the American people will be smart enough THIS time not to vote for liars and corruption and will make sure that this election is not "stolen" from the people. I actually was going to vote for this guy until I started paying more attention to the lies he was telling etc. Now seeing who he picked for his running mate....I like her as a hocky mom, cheerleader, perhaps even as a governor (although with this troopergate issue, one never knows her politics), but she is not qualified to step up as President if something should happen to him. When he chose her, possibly putting our nation at risk if she became President, I decided that this time, I was voting for the democratic policies. Even though I didnt like the Clinton-Monica mess, I think that the economy was in much better shape under the dem's rule.
