Prada Models Take A Tumble (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

For their Spring/Summer 2009 collections, designers have taken footwear to great new heights (see Five-Inch Heels: A User's Guide or Slideshow: Shoes Steal The Shows), but Tuesday's Prada show in Milan may signal the end of an era as not one, but two models took a tumble on the runway. Workers comp would not cover contractual workers, though.

I am thinking they had a little dizziness from a lack of glucose going to the brain. In other words, eat something, you are starving!

I wonder do designer's of these shoes wear their own product on a day to day basis. Heels that high can be brutal.

I hear Prada is in cahoots with a cabal of doctors, with the intent of driving "customers" to local ERs with their new line of ankle-breaking shoes. Its a conspiracy, I tell ya!! :)

That's it. The conspiracy is the fall. They want to make sure the shoes are shown. When the model falls the shoes go up in the air to be put in the spotlight. The designer smiles, yell now and the cameraman takes a picture of the shoes.

It wasn't the heels. I can walk just fine in 6 in. heels. The shoes themselves were too big for her feet.

If you're going to try and get up that high, you'd better maker sure you're securely strapped in! LOL!

Some of these new shoe designs are awful. I can't imagine walking in these out of the world designs. I'm not surprised that models have taken tumbles wearing them. Hope they are OK.

The shoes this year are just awful. They're too high, too clunky, and certainly not good for your feet. Reject this horrible footwear.

If models cannot walk in them, then neither can anyone who buys the shoes. What kind of sense do designers use when making a shoe? Do they try it out on themselves or someone else first?

Maybe Muccia Prada won't make those 5" stilts at her factory in Milan...
