National Enquirer Sarah Palin

The National Enquirer is continuing its foray into politicians' personal lives this election season. Less than two months after the magazine's investigation forced John Edwards to admit an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter, the Enquirer has identified what it calls "Sarah Palin's Other Man" — Todd Palin's former business partner, Brad Hanson.

According to the Enquirer, the identity of Palin's extramarital lover was confirmed by "no less than three members of the man's family including one by sworn affidavit."

One Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, passed a "rigorous polygraph test," and went on the record telling the Enquirer, "I've known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn't until just recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin."

Another insider, who preferred to remain anonymous but provided the Enquirer with a sworn affidavit attesting to the affair, said, "Todd was away on business a lot and Sarah felt lonely. Brad was a good listener, and Sarah talked to him at length. Eventually, she realized she was falling in love with him."

The Enquirer has also taken credit for the announcement that Bristol Palin is pregnant, claiming that it was "triggered" by the fact that the magazine was about to break the news.

The National Enquirer has proven to be better vetters than both the Democrats & Republicans. However, we will see how if the Rethuglicans talk this up as they did when the NE broke the news of the Edwards affair.

So if this is true Sarah Palin has brought marital infidelity, teenage pregnancy and witchcraft with her into the campaign so far. Gotta love those "good republican values." Toss in a few embarrassingly uninformed interview responses and BAM. Total failure. I feel like this lady has been taken advantage of by the McCain campaign, they should have known better than to throw her into this level of politics. Then again she is an adult, a governor and supposedly able to think for herself so she should have known better too.

Well said! - (Good Judgment) by Sarah Palin! Can’t exclude the Enquirer on this, they nailed it on John Edwards! God must have told her to do that one too! Her shine keeps wearing off for the GOP and everyone else in the country! Good role model!

IS THIS REALLY TRUE?
God, these people claim to be close to God...and yet they commit sin after sin... lie, cheat and still claim to be More Christian than anyone else...

Wake up America! Smell the foul smell coming out of John McCain's and Sara Palin's pants!

Well you know, just because a person says they are a christian doesn't make it so. Shrub is a perfect example of that.

They only use religion to further their careers in politics because the religous "right" are so brainwashed, along with most of the Republican public, that they blindly follow these people and ignore any facts against them.

It is very clearn now. Palin's greatest assets as a Republican candidate is to live a lie and be cheerful lying about every thing. How do they find these morally bankrupt people?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:52 AM on 09/26/2008

Au contraire, Repubs would have to make it a policy to vet out these morally bankrupt people. Otherwise, default.

Republicans forgetting what was done to Clinton? McCain gets an infidelity pass on the sanctity of war hero status but Palin?

She gets the full on, bare knuckled, John Edwards treatment.

I don't care about their personal lives, but in this case it points to a huge streak of hypocrisy - particularly when added to the various scandals around her public service - abuses of power, etc...

Lucky for her, John's been able to kick up enough distractions for both.

Aw, I wanted her to be under oath before she denied having sex with that man.
Poor Sarah should have taken a good hard look at the snakes she was going to be runnning with. If repubs lose this election, she will have a long, cold winter up there in the dark. It's one thing for her husband to know, but now that he knows the whole world knows, its another thing entirely for a guy like that. And, Alaskans apparently didn't know that she was showing up for work so few times and still charging them perdiem for all the days she was at home. That won't go over well!

And, then again, there may not be. One thing is for sure, though. It is certainly one of the top concerns in my daily life. I spend every waking moment worrying about this. It affects everything I do.

I do, and so should others including you. Simply put, accountability and honesty are serious issues when considering assigning trust of leading this country. Evangelical piety that commits a sin in the eys of it's own doctrine while preaching the opposite and maintaining a pretense of morality to the American public is obscene.

Of course, Christianity does have that annoying built in escape clause called forgiveness.

I would agree with you more if McCain and Palin were pressing the family values attack more aggressively. (Note--I said the candidates, not the Republican robots supporting them.) And of course, I'd be dishonest if I didn't say that I don't have the same prurient interest as everyone else. I'm just not convinced that this is something worth spending too much energy on.

If you are responsible for a young women's death years ago, the Dems will revere and honor you. If you had a private extramarital affair years ago, they'll crucify you. Go figure.

I'm a Dem, but with nothing but disdain for Palin, but I've got to think that on this sort of thing there has to be a statute of limitation of some sort.
