Ah..then it wasn't just me getting that 'mushroom cloud' feeling during this whole crisis.

Exactly. I felt like they were planning this all along and this was their mushroom cloud. They used the terrorism threat so many times no one is listening. Now they are terrorizing us with the economy.
Not that the economy isn't bad. It is grave at our house. However, the economy has been in a downfall for almost 2 years and suddenly it is so critical we have to do something in 72 hours?
And, "Oh, by the way, the rich need another tax cut. $0 taxes on capital gains would be a good one."

The entirety of the credit crisis is remarkably similar to how the Patriot Act was pushed and how information was conjured. They have not learned there lesson, but the Democratic Congress has.

You can't believe anything that Bush says. The speech was a rerun of Iraq mission accomplished, etc, etc etc. Bush wouldn't know the TRUTH if it bit him in the behind. Now it's all the people in this country that will be penniless after he is done using us for his own personal gains........................................

Missouri is now tied? McCain was expected to walk away with that. Oh boy, he is so toast now.

Americans are so tired and weary of the Bush years. McCain is a photocopy of Bush. All Americans deserve better and are looking for a man who understands and Obama understands. We are so tired and now he drove our country in a ditch. On his watch. We want America back! No scare tactics no hidden agenda. It's time to put are country on the road to recovery. Obama is a man with a kind heart and smarts to help everyone. God bless him.

Why would anyone be surprised that Bush hadn't matured or learned anything over time?

Exactly. Why doesn't the msm compare these two speeches to the American public. Why does it take a "comedian" to tell the truth. Somebody's in somebody's pocket and has been for a long time.

I don't want to be scared anymore. It's like we live in different country. We are all Americans and we deserve better. McCain showed tonight that he will carry the Bush torch. No more. Time for healing and getting America back. It's for everyone best interests.

I do hope that Stewart's show will be the first to make a similar video to this one, juxtaposing Sarah Palin's nonsensical responses to Katie Couric's questions, with the beauty contestant attempting to answer, very badly,a question about world geography(?) in front of a microphone in the finals---the video that played everywhere, within the last year.To me, there is little or no difference between the two, as there is not difference in Shrub coming before the world every few years to announce the end of Western Civilization as we know it.I feel swindled, tricked and generally disgusted with everything the Rethuglicans have done in the last 8 years. How can they continue to prove that they are not -fit to lead, but everyone around me here in the Old South appears to be jostling each other to line up to drink the Rethuglican KoolAid AGAIN?

Don't worry about Sarah Palin, since she will drop out in October, SURPRISE!
Look for Mitt Romney, or Jeb Bush to slide into the open position. Remember the Harriet Meiers test for Supreme Court? She dropped out and Roberts slipped in the back door.

I think they need to juxtapose the Hannity interview where he fed her the lines about how Obama's saying we are in a financial crisis ( or something very similar) was irresponsible language which doesn't reassure the American public (to which she agreed) only later to say we are on the verge of another depression. That sure reassured me!

There already is such a video on Youtube, it's well done, go there and search for Palin and Miss South Carolina and you should find it.

"There's a large mass of land bordering Alaska, it's called Canada", Oh, Ms. Palin really when you condescend to "educate' your audience the game is over. Start over, you do not collect 200 dollars.

Are there any journalists LEFT? Jon Stewart is what we rely on to show the truth? It's great we've got him and his writers trying to keep Bush/McCain honest - but what a sad commentary on the other "news" organizations.

Jon Stewart makes this election season bearable. I just got through watching a rerun of the Sarah Palin interview with Katy Couric and it was difficult to watch. What was McCain thinking in picking her? She should have saved him and her from this embarrassment by turning his offer down. She is even more incoherent than Bush. This is very disturbing as it reflects badly on our country overseas and makes them lose confidence that this country has good leadership. We are being ill served by our leaders in Washington D.C. and on Wall Street. This is a sad story for all of us Democrat or Republican since we are still American's and want to be proud of our country, not laughing stocks.

Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda's goal is to destroy our ecomony, that's why they attacked the WORLD TRADE CENTER.

It is only a matter of time and Pakistan will colapse or attack it's own people with nuclear weapons.

Don't forget to vote for Palin-McCain-Republican so they can finish our financial colapse with Communist China Credit, tax cuts and more deregulation.

So many of these comments are onto a terrible truth: George W. Bush has been an absolute disaster for our country in countless ways. Unfortunately, the celebrity obsessed, religiously confused, and dumbed down American public is just dimly beginning to realize this, mainly because they see their own economic security rapidly vanishing.

That's why we need to convince moderates and others who still are persuadable that electing Obama is critical to the American future. I recommend you look at the persuasive, very well produced, and moderate spot videos available at: WWW.TWOVOTERS.COM

These can be downloaded and sent "viral" fashion to friends, colleagues, and family members. Yes we can get Obama elected! Go to: www.twovoters.com
