I Like ItI Don’t Like It

This was one of the most satisfying moments of the entire debate -- Barack Obama stepping up to the plate and telling John McCain that he was wrong on Iraq.

I know, you know it, everybody in America knows it -- except for John McCain. He was wrong, and that's not the judgment we need.

Here's video:

Update: Here's another video I put together with the evidence -- in John McCain's own words -- for Obama's line.

This was one of the most satisfying moments of the entire debate -- Barack Obama stepping up to the plate and telling John McCain that he was wrong on Iraq. I know, you know it, everybody in America ...

Excellent post Jed. This undoubtedly shows McCain's judgment to be flawed and unrealistic, and with his inability to admit that this war was waged on false premises, it shows that he is in a deep, pathological denial.

He is waist deep in a lie and can't get out of it.

Lastmove,

Look Idiot is McCain your grandfather, If you are looking here for him, your looking in the wrong place. McCain is the past. O.K. We're thinking about our future and Obama represents that. McCain already live his life. A few more years maybe he'll die.

McCain is such a big LIAR. He just cannot seem to tell the truth!! How many times did he go off on some crazy nonsense, and Obama would stand there going, That's not true ... That's not true... Obama has a lot of patience, that's all I can say. He's so obviously better prepared for both the debates and the presidency, he so clearly takes it all more seriously than does McCain, but still he has to go through these debates with this fool! There was no comparison tonight, Obama came off way better.

Of course, I thought both Gore and Kerry were CLEARLY superior to Bush, too! Gotta remember, half the electorate cannot get it right to save their lives (or their country).

Nothing more to prove! McCain seems to be from like another planet! How would you, Americans, ever agree to vote for him?! This will be the end if he takes the Presidential lead.

My favorite line was " You like to pretend that the war started in 2007" I was in heaven when he said that!

Barack speaks the truth. :-)

I like that Mr. O doesn't allow the Republicans to bully him around.

Forgive me, but I don't see the point. The president of Diebold, or whatever the hell they call it now, would probably be on hand to kick my vote into the Recycle Bin long before it got counted.

Polls are wrong in this election. The younger generation whose future President Bush and his cronies squandered, are over posting comments and giving feedback. They will resolve their issue at the pools on November 4. Remember, 30% of people under 30 use a cll phone ONLY. And most polling companies don't poll cell phones because it is up to 5 times more expensive than land lines.

Think what you'd like. Do everyone a favor though and snap a picture of yourself on November 5 and post it to this site. Everyone wants to see a reaction on your face.

The polling data I have seen from SurveyUSA says the people age 18-29 are 75% Democrat. This is verified with voter registration. Democrats have millions of new members. Republicans have not increased their membership in the past 3 years.

McCain said "horsesh*t" during the debate:

Well, that's what it sounded like he said. I can't believe I missed that. I thought the audience was laughing but if that's what he really said, they may have been gasping. That's a debate first for me.

Family values! Maybe the FCC will fine him $100,000 for his vocal chord malfunction.

Do you see how tense McCain got here, attempting to cut Obama off from making this excellent point? Like all big-mouth, know it it all's, they can dish it out, but they never can take it.

Listening to McCain, one can see that he's completely out of touch with the modern world. For him, everything is shoot first- ask questions later. To McCain, foreign countries are still strange places "way over there", not cultures and people that are now just a mouse-click away.

McCain is no diplomat, he understands ONE thing, war, war, and more war. This is why he and Bush were such pals over the last 8 years, Bush's "go to war with everyone" logic suited McCain's limited understanding of the world.
Obama, clearly a statesman, would take greater care with the lives of our sons and daughters in the military. I trust that Obama would not send our kids into battle until every other means of resolution had been exhausted first. That USED TO BE how America did things, and why America was respected. I for one, want that country back again. The America I grew up proud of, and Obama can bring it back!

Obama has the vote of everyone in my family. If your voting age kids aren't registered, go get the forms yourself and have them fill them out. Get them registered and I promise, they will be hooked on the election process, just like my kids have become! It's great!

I liked the way Obama clicked off the points on what he would do for certain policies. I felt McCain talked in too many generalities. As for being tough, well, he is from the South Side of Chicago. You got to be tough to live and do business there. I know that for a fact.

When you talk to someone and you are right... you face your opponent...
When a dog is wrong and knows he did something wrong, he will not face you... the same as a human being.

And that was John McCain's posture all through the debate. He could not face his opponent and look him in the eye.

No. McCain couldn't face Obama because of Brittle-Bone Syndrome, arthritis or some other aging disease.

Wow! Sen. Obama looked presidential, calm, intelligent...loved the spontaneous chuckle and smile when McCain tried to compare him to Bush. LOL. Maybe more aggressive next time, do you think? Or was it just right for the swing voters? In any case, McCain was rude and condescending and I kept yelling at the TV, "He understands your point perfectly well, he just disagrees. Quit being such a bitter old dude." And not once looking at Sen. Obama, as though McCain thought it beneath him? Just rude. I'm proud of Sen. Obama for being the grownup between the two.

Obama -- poised, collected, thoughtful, calling out John directly on his lies and half-truths. Presidential.

McCain - Keeping up the lame attacks and distortions. Disgraceful.
