Toobin: It's No-Drama Obama vs. The Erratic Fence-Swinger

Jeffrey Toobin absolutely nailed one of the key differences that will be on display tonight as Barack Obama and John McCain debate each other: their individual temperaments.

In Barack Obama, we've got No-Drama Obama, a cool, calm, and collected statesman.

In John McCain, we've got an erratic gambler with a penchant for swinging for the fences.

As Gloria Borger says in a comment following up on Toobin, Barack Obama is all about getting the strategy right. John McCain is all about the tactics.

The question for undecided voters tonight is which qualities they would rather see in our next president: steadiness and thoughtfulness, or impulsiveness and irascibility.
