Unsuspended: McCain Aide Confirms Several Hours Of Debate Prep...Last Night

According to MSNBC's David Shuster, McCain Aide Mark Salter has confirmed that last night John McCain spent two or three hours preparing for tonight's debate.

So in the middle of this financial crisis, as he was claiming to have stopped campaigning, John McCain was doing debate prep.

Just another example of McCain's unsuspended campaign.

Of course McCain was practicing. Even if the debate was postponed, eventually it would happen and he needs to learn how to stay on a single message. Therefore, he was practicing to preface every response with, "For 5 1/2 years I was a POW..."

The only people who ever doubted that he would show up for the debate were members of the press. Listen here those of you with press passes. The man has shown himslef time and time again to be a liar who has long ago sold his integrity. POW< POW< POW< POW< verb, adjective, POW< POW< POW. Time for the press to get over this and do investigative and analytical reporting on the candidate.

And yes, on another subject, we need to know his medical records. His first big presidential decision was the selection of Palin for his VP candidate. Since a large portion of the conservative press as well as certain McCain aides have questioned this choice based on her performance on the Katie Couric interviews, we need to know a lot more about mcCain's health. Just his experience as a POW shortened his life expectancy. If he should die while in office, we would ahve a president who will have to look things up and git back to ya.

For me this isn't such a gotcha - more like common sense, hedging bets. Of course he had to plan for the contingency (highly likely at that) that there would be a debate. Can't wait to see him eaten alive.

I'd agree...if he hadn't "suspended his campaign."

It precisely shows that he was hedging, not exclusively concentrating on an economic solution no matter what the cost to his campaign.

It's only a gotcha becuase the fool said he "suspended" his campaign in order to fix the crisis on Wall Street. Instead, he showed up too late to do anything and THEN left early to prepare for a debate he said he wasn't going to.
