I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Mccain

Okay. Once you get your head around a week in our political lives, during which:

  • The first presidential debate was nearly scuttled
  • By the candidate who was prepared to decree himself the winner before the debate had even happened
  • Indeed, before anyone was certain that the candidate was even going to participate in the debate
  • Due to the fact that candidate had announced a "suspension" of his campaign
  • (A decision that he never followed through on)
  • To help along the legislative process in the ongoing financial bailout wranglings
  • (A process to which he ended up contributing nothing)
  • (And which he didn't return to work on after the debate had ended)
  • Finally to "resuming" a campaign that was never suspended.

The only sensible thing to do is the emulate the editorial board of the Keene Sentinel, who write:

We have decided to suspend our editorial activities today so we can adequately ponder the implications of the economic bailout program.

These are the smartest people in the political press, by far.

McFailure and Gidget would love it if we suspended reality and believed that they are really serious.

These two need to suspend their candidacy, I cannot stand to even see them anymore.

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism: I'm sorry, but this is very poor writing. One bullet point cannot be a sentence completing the previous bullet point. At some point, you even get lost trying to understand how the ideas flow.

May be McCain will SUSPEND thinking and act purely on instinct now. That could possibly help him.

this TACTIC of calling a suspension did not further his STRATEGY for winning the election. It's ironic, but this was just too transparent from a candidate who does not apparently believe in transparency--at least in his campaign.

Maybe us hard working Americans ought to suspend working for a living because it takes a lot of hard work!

In 2000, when he was being beat up by Bush in the primaries, I recall thinking McCain wasn't too bad for a republican. Wow - times have changed. What was I thinking - this guy's a cartoon character.

You have to give McCain and Palin some credit as they have been willing participants in being thrown to the dogs.

I used to like McCain but now when I look at him I get physically nauseous.

We've got McVeins-A-Poppin on his heels.
Keep hitting him hard.
HIt him til he goes down.
While he's down, kick him.
If he moves kick him again.
When he stops moving, kick him even harder.

I found it curious that The Union Leader, one of New Hampshire's "finest" conservative newspapers, (by the way it is great to wrap old fish in), chose not to print kathleen Parker's commentary on S.P.

The (mis)Leader's tag line is a play on the NY Times' - "all the news we choose is fit."

John McCain has no respect for the American People. All that matters to Him is His Political Career. People have lost jobs by the hundreds of thousands, Homes by the Millions and all He can do is try to find Gimmicks like Palin, Suspending His Campaign, Going to Washington to make it appear as if He cares, and a host of other things that are too numerous to mention here So He can win an Election. I find Him disgraceful and a Shame. The Amercian People need answers and solutions and all McCain cares about is His ego, pride and bragging rights for winning a Election.

McCain thinks He can llive off of His POW status forever and That He is owed the Presidency... I don't think so!

Agree!

POW. He only stayed when given the opportunity to come back because during that time it would have been suicide to come back. He did not do it for the men, he did it to save face and the McCaine name.
